I’ve always been a big supporter from the E30 days, through to extensive travel and van build, it’s nice to see something new which is always inspiring. I remember me waving like some school girl when you was driving that hilarious sangsongthing back from Poland through the port and the whole mob is hanging out the side waving back. Keep up the good work.

Thanks man. I appreciate the kind words it means a lot. And that ssangyong was literally the worst thing ha

Your Land Rover repair videos are a lifesaver! I've been grappling with a persistent issue on my TD5 involving excessive black smoke and noticeable power loss. Your expertise in troubleshooting and fixing Land Rovers has been evident in your content, so I was wondering if you could shed some light on this particular issue. Your insights could not only help me but also countless others facing similar challenges. Looking forward to your thoughts on this!

Good video. This and the torque settings in the Haynes manual make me a bit more confident about giving this a go myself 👍

This is a great video! I will be removing my cylinder head soon to install a new head gasket; I will obviously have to remove the injectors and may as well install new copper washers and seals. Just one thing, noticed what I thought were swan neck pliers with one arm missing used to extract the injectors?! I was told to use the Land Rover Injector Removal Slide Hammer - but this definitely costs a pretty penny for a once off use! No chance of doing any damage with the modifed swan neck pliers? Any tips?

My td5 does exactly the same thing. Did the new washer and o-ring fix the problem? Nice video very interested to know long term outcome.

Finally got round to watching your videos. Which type of O.ring and copper seals have you used? Original LR, or aftermarket? and did you use a new injector harness when you put it all back together again? - as there was no follow up video, was the problem fixed?
@adventuredefender17724 жыл бұрын
Hey. Theyre original land rover ones, as i found theyre a little bit thicker. And theyre so cheap anyway its not worth the toss i dont think. Original harness as it had no issue when tested. And yes, it's all alright now :)

Check your crank sensor too. It’s probably cracked up with gunk which doesn’t help.

How did you adjust the injectors?
@adventuredefender17724 жыл бұрын
adjust in what way?
@matthewmorrone8834 жыл бұрын
You spin the tappet in all the way down until bottomed out, then back 1 full turn and torque the jamb nut
@markmamone27993 жыл бұрын
@@matthewmorrone883 That's what I've been told, and for confidence, you can turn the crank a full rotation and it should move freely and not hit any obstructions.

Well I wrench for Jaguar, Land Rover/Range Rover and these are the specs found on Topix.
