Guys welcome back to another week before the shred with me Tom Court. This week we are hitting he west coast of Ireland for the Pure Magic Battle for the Lake kitesurfing event on Achill Island. Its is one of the most unique spots fo0r kiteboarding in the world, with the classic storms, strong winds, big air conditions, waves, wake style... you name it in a small area, it is all covered. Not to mention the collection of Irish shredders that go there to make the most of the conditions. This event is pretty special...
It started well, with our van having been used in a bank robbery before we hired it, so we got arrested twice before even leaving England and then, things went from bad to worse.... ;)

There are some amazing locations in Ireland if you like waves. I would say west coast of Ireland has some of the best waves in Europe, and no crowds. If you are looking for uncrowded world class breaks it might be the no1 place in the world. That flat water spot looks great, is the wind there very clean?

Can you do a vid on footstraps please. Im in a weird place where if i land hard with loose straps my feet hurt/feel insecure. But with tight straps i cant board off or foot out but hard landings sre fine. Is there a sweet spot or do you loosen and tighen? Cheers tom

Interesting questions! I will do a video on the strap setup if you like… I ride with mine quite loose, and curl my toes under to keep the strap pressure for take off but it can take some time to get it right 👍🤟
