Trying to get to Hassell Beach in the South West of Western Australia, due to reports of a Whale Carcass. I thought it might be interesting and give me an excuse to explore the area.

I won't use the GPS on the phone... I brought a PROPER GPS navigation unit, The screen is bigger than the TFT display, and that's my main issue with it (the amount of space it takes up, meaning I don't have room for the Camera to be mounted in the same area) It does want me to head back to the last destination unless I give it a new destination, and not just show me where I am and what's coming up (sometimes there is no destination, just the road we choose to explore!) I'd be very tempted to get a CB500X. I have a V-strom 250SX and the 26-27hp just doesn't always cut it, and the lack of weight down low, and all the wind catching fairing up high makes it a handful (and then there's the NOISE and vibration of the single cylinder engine) The CB500X being a twin, with better balance, power and stability in the wind, not to mention being easier to lean in despite being 30kg heavier (because the weight is in a better place) with such similar ergonomics, I think it would be a better place to sit or stand for entire days back to back. the only thing I would miss is the fuel consumption never being any worse than 30km/L (Currently sitting at 37.5km/L)

I will definitely get a GPS at some point, but finances are tight and my first purchase in the near future will be a new set of tyres. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

@@HondaWanderer Tyres are high on my priority list too, but supply is the hold up there. my GPS is a cheap No-name brand from Dick Smith, the biggest concern was the suction cup, but that seems to be holding very well (no major off roading or corrugations yet to really put it to the test) but I'm actually impressed with the light and flexible usb cable that isn't causing wear/damage to the plug like some do. it has a soft braided finish, and not a hard plastic that is heavy and rigid enough to flog out the plug with vibrations & bumps (something to keep in mind)
