beautiful drive up and down that mountain!! Can't believe how high you were! I've backpacked at 10000-11000 feet and thought that was way high. great story you have!

It's hard to make a call to stop and turn around on a road when the tracks go on, but I understand these moments. Your filming and editing skills are awesome. Cameras do no justice at all in capturing the adrenaline of crossing the off camber spots in the road that pitch the rig toward a huge drop off.

It's amazing how dry it is. At that elevation most other places would be covered with thick glaciers.

Wow, that was insane. If it weren't for the blue sky, I'd say you were on Mars or something. Great driving/filming/editing/narration. That record scratch at 2:26, lol

Dang and I thought my 40mph up Big Bear mountain was slow lol. Got to love 80 series. I'll take the reliability over the power and speed.

Hey 👋🏻, Beautiful! Off the beaten path is where to be. Going to continue this vid in a bit. Both of you are so cool 😎! P.S. hope you brought coca leaf tea. 🙂

Higher than Mt. Whitney 😳 ! The scenery makes me want to crawl through this device. Is this the bravest venture you both have accomplished? You just answered my question. This vid is a keeper. ❤️❤️

I wish we had some Coca tea back in the states. 😯

DirtSunrise , personally, I’d rather be far away from the states . Where it’s use is more apropos. 🙂

Kinda envious here...damn you. Highest driving I've been on is about 9,500 ft.

Time for a run to Imogene! Or Mexico where you can drive higher than the top of Mt. Whitney.

That volcano is actually on top of the largest caldera in the world with 500000 km*3 of magma ready to explode in the future

Uturuncu si considered as a mega volcano, it says that if it makes an eruption it will liave a mess , it si considered to be more than ten times more powerful than mount Helena. I climb that volcano.

Why did you choose a Land Cruiser over a 4WD van conversion?
@SaltySunriseSailing4 жыл бұрын
We like the ability to access trails that a van or truck camper can't get to. 👍

@@SaltySunriseSailing Is that because of the height or because of the width?
@SaltySunriseSailing4 жыл бұрын
Height, width, break over angle, departure angle, suspension articulation 👍
@SaltySunriseSailing4 жыл бұрын
Not to say we would love more space and we could just take some different tracks in a van or bigger truck. 👍

@@SaltySunriseSailing I am strongly considering a Transit T350HD (dual rear wheels) with a Quigley 4X4 front axle.
