People usually take 9 days to hike to Everest base camp which is about the same altitude because they'll stop a couple of times for a day along the way to acclimate to the attitude. You guys went that high in 2 days!

Lol - it has been done, more than once. Some trips have used a trike called (the name is ironic) ICE big fat. Note there is also an ICE Adventure. The names are not for the white stuff, the conpsny is called Inspired Cycle Engineering. Im about to buy an ICE Adventure.

We slept at 4400 m long time ago. Nothing much has changed. How did it feel sleeping so high? Worst night of my life because of altitude and supernervous companion. We left all gear at 4200 U took it along: Wow.Was getting tough above 5100. Stones and a very strong headwind forced us very often to set foot on the ground. Restarting was not funny. So we walked oner third of the climb above 5100. We took our bikes to the top. That was really the hardest thing i've ever done. My respect for Louisa, much harder fysically for women. Aucanquilcha mineroad goes higher but less cycling.

A very hard ride that doesn't reward enough. The view is quite boring. I was sure that at the end we would see an active volcano, or at least the mouth of a volcano. Not worth the enormous effort... There should be a very good reason to climb this altitude, Because above 4000 meter usually there is no any flora...
