more than choosing the right gear is choosing the right partner, tim chose kelsey and kelsey chose tim, as I chose my wife and she chose me back, remember the time I asked you about my trip from mexico to canada, we did in a similar setup and sure we had some rough-ish nights and some great ones and finally it was a great trip, enjoying it together is what made it great. keep up this great life you have built together guys

So many great things going on here, Early mornings in a 40, bugs on the windshield. We had the cliff dwellings on the list on our way to Arkansas we got side tracked and missed out. Giant annoying tent LOLOL Love the old school feel.

Funny. That's why I got a nice small offroad trailer to tow behind my jeep. Camping in a hard sided trailer with all the amenities like a decent mattress, a gas furnace, nice pillows and blankies - priceless. Well worth the cost and while it limits a little where I can go, it's still great to tow most places (weighs under 1200 lbs) and I can park it and use the Jeep for wheeling around the area. Yeah, we gave up on tent camping in favor of convenience and comfort. PS: my wife is not as nice when grumpy as Kelsey - the words spoken and the attitude would get us banned from YT :-)

Great to see good 'ol tent camping with an ice chest. That's the way I like to roll. Not a fan of RTT's and electric fridges. Just get a good quality tent(REI, etc.) and cooler(Pelican) and that FJ will take you to the ends of the earth.

I'm up in eastern Canada. This is so alien, but kinda intriguing. I question your logic on car camping vs backpacking. After traveling light so much, getting a nice big comfy mat, with a roomy tent is deluxe, not a pain. But I used a trailer with a small car. If I had a pick up? I'd just sleep in there too.

Hi Tim and Kelsey, now that you have travelled a lot is there anywhere else you would like to live or retire? And why? I really want to live in Mexico or central America, I love my birth country Australia but the people are heaps happier over their, more family oriented, cultural and the food!

It changes from day to day. Argentina is really nice and the temps are great. We want to explore Australia too. We meet so many great people from there and New Zealand on the road. We really liked Ecuador and Colombia for livability. Mexico is amazing and our favorite food on Earth. It's almost like the more we travel the more we're not sure where we'd want to end up. Haha!
