Adventure vs Motocross Boots | MSR ADV vs M3X Comparison & Review

Moto Giant just yesterday released the video of his crash from a month ago. It is the best lesson on boots that I've ever seen. 1. Be sure your cargo straps are tight and secure. 2. Work boots are weak defence agaist spinning wheels.

I have the MSR M3X boots and they're probably the best entry level priced boots available. They're very comfortable and offer great protection. I have no complaints other than they're not waterproof, but they don't claim to be. Great buy!

​@SwankyCatProductions did for me I'm going to save up a couple extra and get the water proof adventure boots I figure great for my endro and throw them in the saddle bag on my Indian I ride daily and being in Florida I get rain A LOT.

Like you, I'm on the lankier, skinnier side (5 '11" and 150 lbs). One problem I've had with a bunch of ADV boots that I've tried on is that they're just too big around the calf, even if I cinch the buckles or Velcro down all the way. For me, the Forma Adventures, the Forma Terra Evo, and the Sidi Adventure 2 were all too big around the calf. Have you ever experienced that? And any idea how the MSR Adventure boots are in that regard in comparison to those other boots? I ended up picking up just this morning (from the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC HQ in Utah, coincidentally) the Alpinestars Corozal boots. They're the only ones that I could get tight enough around the calf.

Yep! I would have the exact same issue, but I always tuck my riding pants into my boots. It adds a bit of girth to my calf area and keeps my pant legs clean 🤣

@@SUVRVing Get some Fox Titan style basic knee/shin guards. Boots are made so they can fit, that's why they're so big.

yeah, i have klim's gtx boot, i really do like them, i do not think i would like the extreme stiffness of the mx boot, although i would like to try the sidi boots that have the flex to them....other than that i will stick with klim, i really do like the boa system to tighten them up

Oh what??? I didn't realize they had that on there moto boots! I've got snowmobile boots made by them with that same system and I really like it!

Broke my foot in three places wearing “adventure” boots going down at like 20 mph. Do not buy “Adventure” named boots go for the full MX boots period.
