Honestly they are the most stuck up bait shop on the river always talking down to other bait shops and think they are the only people that know how to catch fish I drive out of the way to support other shops 🤷♂️🤷♂️

Great video! Give potato encrusted walleye a try sometime, it won't disappoint. Make some mashed potatoes, add sour cream & butter, lemon juice & lemon zest, and tarragon. Pipe the mashed mixture (evenly) on seasoned walleye pieces and bake.

Just found your channel. I live in Cedar (Leelanau County). Just bought an older 16' tracker and wanna throw some lines in the water. Have no idea what I'm doing....LOL. I have patients that head over to Lake Erie for some Walleye fishing. They bring me fish and it's so delicious. It's time to start catching my own.

Michigan walleye was my business back in the mid 80’s and early 90’s. I’ll be up your way in September hitting the Platte and Betsie River for a few days. Grab some custom lures I make if we bump into one another.

Welcome to Detroit. Wish I had known you were coming down to the home River. coulda got you on some hogs. I've been fishing at 4 or 5 days a week for the last 2 months. I've got several fish 5 to 9 lb with most of them being 7to9 lb.

Next time you need to make a week of it and fish Erie! Troll for some pigs and jig some blades and hair jigs for some smaller fish. Jigging on Erie especially Ohio waters is some of the fastest best fishing you’ll ever have!

My father inlaw lived next to Elizabeth Park in Trenton where my wife grew up. He used to tell me about the walleye fishery down there. Apparently being a northern michigan guy I knew better and never fished it....stupid me!!! Lol

The only problem in the Detroit area to fish is they closed most of the places you can fish from the shoreline even in the down river area. Everywhere it says no fishing from shore. Used to live in Lincoln Park back in the 70s and it was never like that .
