I lost my dad in2009 and I still see his helmet in the basement it pulls my heart out of my chest but I know he was happy on bikes it was like all his stress was gone as soon as he put his boots on them foot pegs he was like another person he turned in to a professional motor cross guy he was the same on street bikes unbelievable guy I miss him so much listen keep doing what your doing your dad said he loved you and I could feel it man he really was talking from his heart these are times you two will never forget I’m happy you got him a two stroke nothing like the old school oil gas mix that smell in the trails was such a time stamp in my life I’ll never forget standing in the dusty field with about 9 neighbors on two strokes ripping it up it sounded like 30 bumblebees flying around and the dust and two stroke smoke was like breathing in fresh air or cooking over the grill with steaks and burgers on a open flame god bless you guys be safe happy riding make memories bro your dad rocks and so do you I hope to see your and your dad making sone riding videos I would love to watch them it would be like the old days with my dad thanks bro

I quite enjoyed that. I got back into bikes after 20 or so years of not riding them, with an 81 Yamaha IT 465 - for my dad who had gone even longer without riding, I got a non-running 91 Suzuki RM 250 and fixed it up. However, he figured the RM is a bit much for him - I just this past month got him an 89 KDX 200 and I think it's just about perfect for him.

I just finished rebuilding my 2006 KDX200 with a Wossner piston kit, a full gasket set and a full fmf exhaust. I am still busy with the break in period but I can already tell it has SO much more power than before(my old piston was a bit damaged and my compression was very low). Great bikes, you can't go wrong with buying one. I had to rebuild mine because of my own stupidity for not realising it was leaking coolant, and that caused it to overheat. I hope you guys all of the best with the new bike! Hope he enjoys it!!
@highsnburgers48624 жыл бұрын
Maybe your "stupidity" was good because now you have a better bike and a real connection to it. Warm it up real good before going WFO with the forged piston so you don't cold seize it.
@thematerwelon1784 жыл бұрын
@@highsnburgers4862 I agree lol. But yes, I warm it up properly before every ride. The last thing I want to do is replacing the piston within one year

My dad taught me to ride but I never got to ride with him. He rode an old Harley with a suicide clutch back and forth to work in the early 60's because he had nothing else and lost his taste for it. Great choice man! Love my 1990 kdx200. Best power adders is a pipe and a set of reeds. They add a ton of power! To be honest with you I haven’t watched many of your videos but as long as there is kdx content, I’m not! Another mod for my kdx was the front end swap. I ride hard though, kx250 fork swap for the win! Any serious mods or performance stuff look up fredette racing. Jeff is the kdx king and has tons of wins on kdxs. Kdxposed has some upgrades listed on it. Hell I don’t know you and I’m pumped on the kdx for your dad!

My oldest is 21 and has stopped riding but my 17 year old still rides with me. Currently we have 2 ktm bikes and I love the bikes. I always wanted a ktm 200xc 2 stroke but they stopped making them.
