What a lovely area to camp and hike! So glad to see Fin doing so well. Dot truly is an adventure dog! She is such a trooper. And little Bean, he is such a clown (in a good way!). I am sure your mother is going to love the scarf! It's definitely made with love. Finding a comfortable hiking boot is so difficult. And I find it harder and harder the older I get (my feet are "difficult", for lack of a better word, so there is that). I recently bought a pair of Hanwag hiking boots (the most expensive shoes I have ever bought) and I especially looked for just-leather, no gore-tex (or something similar), because I just find gore-tex too hot for most of the year. I also don't like the heavy, thick soles. It's a compromise, but hopefully one I can get used to. Enjoy your summer break, it looks like you're off to a good start!

Thank you so much for watching and commenting! Dot really is an adventure dog and Fig just goes with the flow. Bean most definitely is a clown. ❤️ I hope those boots work out for you! It is really a challenge to find the right pair. 🤞🏽

Enjoyed the video! You’re still using your MSR pocket rocket. I’ve had one for years and it’s still working great. Nice to see Fig, Dot and Bean having so much fun! Hope you and Bryon have a wonderful summer.

That little pocket rocket has been with me now for 29 years! So crazy. It’s been very steadfast and reliable. Thank you so much! I hope you too have a wonderful summer.

OMG! What a cute outfit!! ❤❤❤❤❤ Looks great on you. Also, I love your knitting creations. I crochet but would love to learn how to knit. I just read a book that was so, so cute and I think you would love it. It’s not a book I would usually read but I found it at a vintage store and browsed through it and got sucked in. 😂. Title: the secret life of a knitter Yarn Harlot by Stephanie Pearl - McPhee So glad you made this video. I’ve been looking forward to hearing from you again.

I grew up on an apple farm, have made many an apple recipe, and never knew about the star, cool! This is such a beautiful video. Are you ever afraid to camp alone in the forest? Are there any critters that live there other than the squirrel? Thank you.
@adventuredenali3 ай бұрын
That’s amazing! You should try it, I promise the star is usually much more distinct than this one, haha. When I camp with my family (Bryon, and the dogs/ferret), I never feel afraid. I am always very at ease and content. When I camp by myself, I definitely feel a bit on edge, my senses heightened and alert.

@adventuredenali I admire your bravery. We used to camp in the Canadian Rockies. One morning, we woke up to find a gash in our canvas tent. Our neighbor's tent was ripped to shreds by grizzlies. Only the frame remained standing. No one was harmed.

I love your well designed recommendations. Btw, how are you able to locate your camping site ? I'm not a camper. Is it a device you leave at the camping site, and you connect with an app ?
@adventuredenali3 ай бұрын
I usually drop a point on a map on my phone. Preferably Gaia as it can be used offline, but this time around I just used Google.

Thank you !
@belwynne13863 ай бұрын
What are you using to plot your camp and current location? That works well!
@adventuredenali3 ай бұрын
Usually I use Gaia, but it wasn’t up to date this trip, so I just used Google! The thing with Gaia is that you can use it offline and mark points and navigate. Google only works if you have phone service.
