Love the flat fenders. Not a fan of the rubber going between the fender and the flares. I personally am going with MetalCloak fenders. They actually reinforce the fender to the point you can stand on them.

I like the fenders, they look cool. I agree with you the rubber strip will not stay in place, maybe glue them on. What I also don't like are the fact that the plastic spash guards are now also gone, water and mudd can enter the engine bay much easier. I not fond of the look under the fenders without the guards...
@adventuredex6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! Yeah the rubber piece is hard to install without help. I have inner liners that I will be installed soon!
@funkydodo1496 жыл бұрын
AdventureDex then the fender install will be perfect. You just have to find a way around the rubber strip...

Nice video tutorial, what did you do with your side marker turn signal wire that you disconnected? Did you just tuck it away or is there a way to disconnect that cable? Thanks
@poolboy24474 жыл бұрын
I found this helpful but I have a couple questions. 1. Installing the rivet inserts. I am doing everything by hand (no electric drill like in the video) and I just can't seem to get it to work. Any tips? 2. Do you worry about the bottom of the engine/brake line/ everything else being exposed under the front fenders? it just makes me a little nervous. Love the video though, I subbed
@breanneroche24414 жыл бұрын
Great install video! I bought these fender flares to put on my 2015 JK. I’m curious... what weather stripping did you use between the flare and the body during your install? Thanks!

Is it possible to put the rubber strip on first and then bolt the fenders to it wedging it between the fender and the jeep?
@adventuredex6 жыл бұрын
The rubber strip has no adhesive so it will just fall if it is not held in place! Its a bit of a pain but if you have a spare pair of hands its doable. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for another great video Dex! Quick off topic question, I have never lifted any of my Jeeps but I am looking to put a small lift on my 2013 Rubi. Would it be better to go with a body or suspension lift kit. I am only looking to lift it about 2 inches.
@TrillNGR6 жыл бұрын
Jared Cone I'm not dex but I would look into suspension lift. I would look at teraflex or jks 2.5 in lift kit. would fit at most 35's with flat fenders.
@MrFishstxx6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for your reply, I will definitely look into that.
@adventuredex6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the commnet! Miguel is 100% correct. I would recommend nothing other than a 2.5 Teraflex lift kit. I have installed many on my garage floor with some simple tools, jack stands and a floor jack.

Are you sponsored by RC? I'm assuming RC inner fender liners are next. My advice as far as nutserts go, get a pneumatic nutsert tool...worth it's weight in gold. I agree with weather stripping. Just doesn't look clean, looks tacky.
@adventuredex6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the sharing! I am not sponsored by RC however they were kind enough to send over a set of their new fenders for review and installation. I will look into the outsert tool! Thanks for watching!

You would think that there would be a rubber gasket running the length of the fender to sit between the metal parts. I'd be concerned about rust with these fenders. They do look sweet though

Laws vary from state to state. That wouldn't fly in PA. Kinda like window tinting. Police look the other way most of the time until you run into one having a bad day.
