Our history here is AMAZING. The Inner Harbor & Fells Point are beautiful, along with Mt. Vernon, Federal Hill, and a few other inner city areas that are predominantly white. It's the surrounding black areas, that are drug-infested and crime ridden.

@@AdventureElliot the marble that makes up the steps around Baltimore, and the George Washington Monument, isn't from Baltimore. It was mined from the quarry at Beaver Dam, in nearby Cockeysville, Maryland. Just north of Baltimore. The marble in that quarry is the whitest, most pure marble ever mined in America. The marble was also used for the Washington Monument, in D.C. 😉

Born and raised in Baltimore i admire the city for it's historical buildings and it's role in the war of 1812 and 1814 with Fort McHenry and it's once great theatres that entertained hundreds of audiences. I'm a collector of Baltimore Theatre programs and memorabilia from photos to souvenirs. Really enjoyed watching your video ❤️👍😉

Thanks for the video. A couple of comments for context. You spoke to Carroll at 643 Dover Street. I once owned a home five doors down at 653, and walked to Camden Yards all the time. As you walked down Charles Street it's worth glancing to Hotel Monaco which was once the B&O headquarters building. The Washington Monument was the first Washington Monument and both this and the DC version are built from the same marble quarry. The port city and the railroad were established because Baltimore is 300 miles closer to midwest cities than other American port cities. Sadly, Bertha's is now closed after fifty years under one ownership. But Fells Point is still fun.

I m from Baltimore ( but also live overseas) and thus just wanted to point out a couple minor points. For someone who is not from Baltimore I applaud all the research you did the video and taking the time to walk a good part of downtown. Someone corrected you saying that Maryland was nt a Confederate State and that is for the most part true,but the Confederate sympathizers who created that riot on Pratt st.were pro-confederate,so you were correct t w what you were saying. But right after that,6:04- when you said you were in the neighborhood of Camden. Yes,that is Camden station,but the neighborhood called Camden is just east of Fells Point ( which I hope you were able to see ) All in all,a very good video. Hope you enjoyed Baltimore.

You’re showing some nice looking places. Unfortunately that is small. And it’s very dangerous in many places, though I have gone thru them more than many ever do. Try walking North Ave full length. We have a great history, so much to be proud of, but largely in my lifetime not really. including how much was deliberately debased as just evil just a few years ago, en masse. We got lucky that the riots were not as bad as many other cities nationwide.

3 points 1: It’s called Johns Hopkins not John Hopkins. They are known for throwing out applications that have Johns spelled without the S. 2: Maryland was never a confederate state, the rioters in 1861 were considered copperheads, northerners who wanted to secede but Maryland was effectivity under martial law during the civil war due to the state government being mostly pro-secession until the middle of the war when Maryland began to support the union. 3: That old ship is called the U.S.S constellation and it was the flag ship of the Anti-slavery Africa squadron and used in the civil war as well.

@mayitozubieta3185
@mayitozubieta3185 3 жыл бұрын
@@AdventureElliot You seem to focus on hoods in the USA or crime or danger but you ignore all of that in Spain and Portugal as if it did not exist. In your Porto, Portugal you totally ignored the poverty-stricken area of Cova da Moura, which sits on the edge of Lisbon, the country's capital, people live destitute lives there. Since the 1970s, the area has become home to some 6,000 people in terrible poverty. Why is that Elliot? In Spain you ignore Cañada Real the biggest slum in the EU and lies on the outskirts of the Spanish capital Madrid. Tens of thousands of people live in illegally-built huts and shacks. Why is that Elliot? Are you a leftist liberal who hates the USA?
@AdventureElliot
@AdventureElliot 3 жыл бұрын
@@mayitozubieta3185 because I’m not from Porto or spain and I don’t know enough about the local politics and situation .. or at least not like someone like Lethal Crysis could show. ..perhaps one day I’ll go to La Cañada real in madrid or palmilla in malaga , but everyone has warned me not to. I’ve been to plenty of dangerous places in Latin America way before I was a KZbinr if I had a camera back then, I woulda made some exciting videos.. but in comparison, the crime isn’t even close here in Spain or Portugal compared to the USA. Baltimore has homicides every single day, same with Milwaukee, Chicago, and many other big cities… and you know what the. crime ridden cities have in common? They’re all ran by democrats. If you understood the sarcasm I used, I actually show that Baltimore isn’t that dangerous (where I went) and it’s a great place to visit. It’s a truth and reality in the USA.. also, to be completely honest, I have to make $$ to survive, and I don’t make a lot of $ living in Spain. In fact, I sacrifice a lot to live here.. thousands per year. KZbin is a extra source of much needed income for me and part of making $$ is getting views on videos, and titles and thumbnails are what determine how many clicks you get. If I title BALTIMORE, an American city; that’s not an interesting title to appeal to bigger audiences. It can be the difference between Pennies or hundreds of $. I have to add some intrigue to the title, it’s the truth with KZbin, and any successful KZbinr does it to some degree, as long as it’s not complete clickbait. Lastly, if you saw in my first video from Washington DC, you saw that I praise the fact that the USA is a great country to be raised in for opportunity. I think being an autónomo in spain is a horrible deal and it needs to be fixed, but talking about politics in a country that isn’t mine, isn’t the best idea.

Dude my mom and her whole family is from Baltimore! And I been to Johns Hopkins University, one of the main sponsors of Event 201 where they simulated the Coronavirus PLANdemic. I shoulda been there with you and showed you the areas I know of.

Dude we should’ve went to west Baltimore together.. by the way I shared this video on Baltimore subreddit and they liked it a lot. YT algorithm doesn’t work because they all loved the video and would have never saw it if I hadn’t shared it there.. same thing with the Minneapolis video. Absolute gold but no one saw it from Minneapolis

at least if you're a cis white dude, I've never ran into trouble in any american city I've been to. Chances are you'll never run into crime hotspots unless you live in one or go looking for it.

there is no quote unquote when referring to American hero's such as George Washington. He is an American hero. If you don't agree you're not American. Thanks for visiting though.

Hola buenas Elliot...

It’s not that bad there. But if you go to the wrong neighborhood without the correct credentials or good reason to be in there, you could have a few issues 😂
