I remember going to a place that served spaghetti picnic table style when I was a kid back in the 70’s. Seemed like it was very crowded and a popular place to go to eat dinner after spending the day floating down the river.

Kernville has the worst food unfortunately... Read the reviews...anything from roaches, to raw chicken sandwiches being served. If someone would open up a legit food establishment there, they would absolutely kill it.

We spent an afternoon in Kernville last Mother's Day - it seemed like it would be a really cool town if you are there during peak season! We stayed over on the lake and it was SOO windy. Really like your editing style - you do a good job with these videos!

Great video. We are currently on our way back to Simi from our Eclipse trip to Fredericksburg. Now in Tucumari NM. We plan on being back home in Simi on the 25th. The on May 2 we head to the Kern for 10 days. Staying at Rivernook. Love the brewery too! Take care guys.

Walker pass had some and tecaphi also up the kern there's done free camping. You can camp at lake Isabella also with a national park pass
