Adventures of Maggie 2, (with walk around Petawawa Point)

Good Day all. Apologies for those viewers who have been patiently waiting a new video but we just haven't had good weather for going out. This video is a quick trip around Maggie's world. This will do for now! Enjoy and please tune in for more videos coming soon!

Amazed at how little the Point has changed.. the two kids fishing could have been my buddies and I fishing for Bass Perch or whatever in the same spot from 1953 to 1964. Like that they put in a boat launch... Just Northwest of it,where the warm Petawawa water meets the cold Ottawa there was the remnants of an old wharf for the log raft tugs... Beach depth went from one foot to 12 feet in about 2 yards... dangerous it was... on beach days we would station ourselves there to keep kids out of trouble... snorkelling there was fun as the really large walleyes would be on the cold bottom under the warm Petawawa water. The bar at the mouth was all sand with no vegetation back then and was a fun spot to swim to with the dog.

Great story! They mark that spot off now days as it is truly dangerous. I have never fished it but I might just give it a go. CHEERS.
