Learning you don't watch Disney movies makes me appreciate your love of the parks even more! I had never visited WDW, and my husband told me I had to go at least once in my life. Much to my chagrin, we booked the crazy expensive trip a few years ago, and I have never been so glad I did something in my whole life. I can't get back to WDW often enough now. OMG dude. It was kind of funny at first but then I felt really bad for you. Motion sickness is no joke. That feeling of being clammy with sweat and on the edge of vomiting, not good. Animal Kingdom has always been my favorite WDW park. People sleep on it, but it amazes me, every time. So beautiful, so well themed, so well planned. Plus I love animals, and none are better cared for than those residing at Animal Kingdom. I could spend days there, wandering around and being transported around the world. Amazing place.

Mary and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your adventures experiencing Disney World for the first time. Being huge Disney fans, and knowing you - and your love for all things Disney - WE KNEW your love would be equal to ours, and seeing your first experiences and the raw emotions - it really took us back to our first time there. But watching your experience on Everest, I was reminded of a time when I was a kid and my dad (who was not into Disney) got dragged to the park by the lure of "Star Tours is the greatest thing I've ever ridden on". He had the same reaction as you did on Everest - and I remember him sitting at a table at the Carnation cafe for hours afterwards slowly sipping on a 7up to try and recover from the trauma of the ride.

Brickey! I know exactly how you felt after Expedition Everest. I was there for my very first time in April. Went on Flight of Passage first thing - threw up on the ride and had to go back to my hotel for several hours. Went back after feeling better and thought I could handle Everest - nope - got sick again. Really ruined my day at AK. One and done for both attractions. I am not a spring chicken anymore! I suffer from motion sickness too and it seems like the older I get, the worse it is. When I travel, I call my doctor and have him prescribe some Transderm-Scop patches so that I don’t get sick on the plane or any park rides. You should check them out. They really work!!

I did some market research the other day and rode Everest 3 times (only 2 back to back). 3 years ago I rode it once and was done, even with motion sickness pills. A week ago, I felt better about it, but still only rode it once. Then I watched your video. Never did it cross my mind that there was an inversion... So I had to test it out. It definitely feels like you're going upside down during the backwards section of track. Weird! So I had to try it again... And again 😅 Thanks for giving me something to think about. I'll have to look at some track layout videos to see how/why it's like that.

Never, Ever, EVER ride Mission to Space. While I do not feel it at all, I rode with someone who got seriously ill on that. Motion sickness is no joke! Love seeing the parks through your "fresh eyes" (former CM here for Splash and KS). DAK is truly special. ❤️ to Joe Rohde for his amazing work.

I’m so sorry, that, that ride made you sick. I must say, I REALlY appreciate your honesty about it, I’m not a ride person either. Seriously. I also really was moved by your statements about animals, and about your relationship with ( without) your Mom. I am also I would say, profoundly influenced by animals, which at times can be very difficult. But I still appreciate animals so much anyway. I really only relate the most with people who love animals. Unlike you though, I was lucky in that this appreciation and love for animals was given to me by my Mom, something I am eternally grateful for. Lastly, I must tell you, your choice of music for this video gave me a lump in my throat for the whole video, it was so outstanding. Every song was so wonderful. Thanks.

So much to see and not sure if anyone pointed out to you while you were there but obviously along the Discovery River you can see Expedition Everest in the distance but directly across the river is a shrine built "to pay homage to the mountains and the Yeti". Cool thing is if you stand back and position your line-of-sight so that the shrine is situated directly in front of the Himalayans, the temple exactly silhouettes the peaks in the distance! PS- that was quite a hotel room you had- sweeet!

Animal Kingdom truly is an incredible park that deserves so much more praise. The only downside for me is that there really isn't a whole lot to do in my opinion. Everest is probably my second favorite attraction in all of WDW (I promise it does not go upside down lol my father in law thought the same thing and was not happy we got him on it). After that I'll ride Na'vi River Journey, the safari and FoP depending on the wait time then I'll be ready to leave after I pin trade and enjoy the scenery for a bit. I think they need one more decent attraction to help get more people over to enjoy Animal Kingdom. Great vlog by the way!

When I was there in February I was disappointed only because there were so much still closed, and the park close 5, and I’m glad to see that they remove what looked like plastic shower curtains in between the seats of the safari ride.

The safari is top notch, not a zoo at all. We have done several back stage tours with animals at this park & Disney is very serious about the care & conservation of their animals.

Open drop-towers are my Achilles' Heel when it comes to thrill rides, mainly because I have somewhat-severe acrophobia (Tower of Terror doesn't bother me). Recently went to Busch Gardens Tampa with a friend and he convinced me (somehow) to ride Falcon's Fury and I came off of it visibly shaking. So, of course he's now egging me to do the world's (maybe) tallest drop-tower at Icon Park. I live in Orlando, so it's only a few minutes drive off of I-4, which makes it even worse. I also think the lack of lateral motion messes with my head, as I don't have a problem with coasters. Strictly rapid vertical-only motion, though, gives me major willies.

Hey, Brickey, have you tried motion sickness wristbands? They're a stretchy wristband with a hard plastic ball that hits a pressure point. Cheap, and they really help.

I felt the exact same way when I rode Space Mountain for the first time at Disneyland years ago! It felt like an instant hangover. Yuck! Although, Animal Kingdom looked amazing!

Same here Brickey. Waited 4 years to get back to AK to see the Finding Nemo show. Rode Everest 1st (1st time). Felt so terrible. Sat with my family in the Nemo show with my head down below my knees. Left multiple times to get air and use restroom. Don't remember seeing any of the Nemo show. Never again Everest, never again.

I've ridden 400 foot coasters that go 120 mph at Cedar Point with no problem but the backwards part makes me a bit dizzy,it doesnt ruin my day or anything but I find it weird my 70 yr old parents ride it with no issues and I get a little dizzy in that section.I ride it all the time but not more than once a day.

?????Had you taken a motion sickness pill before riding everest? I have a friend who gets motion sickness easily, and does take a pill before going to the parks. He still skips the rides that just spin, but has been ok on a few rides. space mtn was a little too much. just curious to see if he might be able to ride everest or not.
