Hey Brickey, I have absolutely loved this series that you have done at WDW! I am a “citizen of WDW” as I have been coming to WDW since it opened in 1971 and a Cast member for over 25 years. It was phenomenal seeing the parks that I love so dearly in someone else’s eyes and I love the fact that you did no research on them prior to your visit (most people don’t….trust me :-) Great work!!!!

Brickey, this is my favorite park at WDW! I am so happy you are enjoying this very special park! To see the design principles you speak of at play here with rocks, trees, bushes, and waterfalls taking center stage, is just breathtaking! #Club1313

Next time you are in Animal Kingdom there is a walking trail around the tree of life and you can get up close and personal with it.

I know animal parks aren't your thing, but for those of who like them there's a whole world of design there for the animals, too. Things that help keep the animals happy and healthy.

The entrance was designed to bring you from an urban environment, no trees or shade in the vast parking lot, to the Oasis, which is that first land you hit

Disneyland will forever have my heart and #1 spot but Animal Kingdom is my #2. I hang out here often, especially in Africa.

I've been watching your channel since you arrived at WDW and it's become a favorite just that fast. I love your content and as someone who studied fine art, design, and architecture, I find your insights far more interesting than those of many of your fellow vloggers. Keep up the good work! I've subscribed and will continue to watch!

I hope you get another opportunity to visit and explore Animal Kingdom. I don’t have near the artistic background that you do, and I am still fascinated by the tree, architecture, and rich culture in that park. 🌳

So glad you loved it. I’ve never been there. My son has been there twice, he says that’s his favorite park of all of them.

Just in my personal interpretation? I think the whole design of Animal Kingdom's entrance area is actually _genius_. Even though, sure, at first blush it might seem underwhelming - just being a wall of dense vegetation with no visible park icon or photo opportunity - I actually think this "wall" functions really well in the ways it serves this particular park's storytelling... One way I think the "wall of vegetation" tells a story is that it serves as a clear "boundary" for the guest to cross - away from the urban asphalt parking lot behind them and into the "natural world" that the park represents. Another way this "wall" tells a story is by essentially turning the entire park into a "mystery box" right as the guest enters it. - Seeing as they can't see anything inside the park even as they enter its front gate, the guest is left to think "huh? what's in there?" ... and then they get to discover the answer to their question as they pick a pathway and dive in! I personally think this does a great job with supporting one of the park's themes which Joe Rodhe describes as "transformation through adventure".

Most of the advertisements, for years, refered to this park as “Animal Kingdom Nahtazu,” a fictional land in Africa. Nahtazu pronounced “not a zoo.” I don’t know if they still use that term to promote Animal Kingdom.

You have such strong feelings against animal cruelty and did so much research about this park before going. Does that mean you are a vegan or at least vegetarian? Sorry, if you have answered this before. I just recently found your page.

I got my answer. I see you eating a burger in another video. Seems contradictory, but that's what works for you.
