I think Africa is more effective and powerful when divided into regional powerhouses, rather than just trying to mash the entire continent into one. East Africa has definitely been an extraordinary place in the past few years, with a lot of improvements. I totally want to do Kenya and Tanzania on a one month long trip sometime. When you visit a country in Africa, it’s advised that you visit at least one of its regional partners or neighbours at the same time. It makes for a different trip, one where you appreciate the continent more, rather than just trying to plough through the entire continent without admiring the distinction in beauty and culture of different regions of the continent. Kenya would then have to hitch on to some extent or run the risk of being left behind completely. In other words, become a failed state. At least I hope that's what will happen...

Nairobi beats many well known Western cities. Where can you go to the jungle, be in a huge city with amazing views, eat amazing food, see great people, see the big 5, enjoy great entertainment at the same time? Not many cities around the world tbh.

I disagree and i am a Kenyan living in EU ....they need to organise themselves better with transport ....put metro or tranvía ....i tried to sell the project in Nairobi city council but they prefer to eat the money ..... We leave in cities that you can make it on any appointment on time coz the transport is well organised...i get metro every 3 minutes whether is rainy or Sunny ...so dont be cheated

We visited Nairobi a couple years ago, one of our stops was the David Sheldrick Trust, we paid ahead to have the smaller group in the afternoon and it was so worth it! The whole city is amazing! We weren't there but for 2 nights on either end of our safari out in the Maara. I feel that I need to go back and spend more time in Nairobi!

Dramannana Salam if you want to see the great migration then between July & November at the Maasai Mara. It’ will be peak season so it’s going to be more money than any other time of the year.
