Silas, do you ever get to see the restorations made from the junkers you've sold? It would be fun to see the old hulks and what is made as a restoration. Man, I have to say it has been great watching the incoming wrecks go out as scrap income. It has been fun watching the intake and the output.

@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch4:47 Speaking of dump beds, you'd love to see an old movie 🎥 called: I'm a Fugitive From a Chain ⛓️ Gang with Paul Muni. He was the original Scar Face. The movie features a dump truck in an action scene. Not suitable for small children.

Silas. Those black locust tree thorns DO NOT burn !!!! They just get super brittle. Flat tire city for years. I burned three trees before my old neighbor warned me about the tre thorns. I raked and raked dug and buried, plus had to fence off area ti keep horses and cows out so would get bad feet wounds and absesses. After 5 yeats i gave up and yurned yhat half acre into wlld blackberry patch for me, the birds ,critters and horses that can reach over fence. And horse fertilizer spreading spot Enjoyed this and all your other videos. Grandkids really enjoy your "loader speed runs " in the yards. Thx gw

The camper special ford is either a 1968 or a 1969. A good way to tell is the marker lights on the hood. 67 didn’t have the orange reflectors in the emblems. 1970-1972 had a metal grille with plastic inserts.

Yay! It's finally over (at that yard!) I'd love to see what's the situation in the other yard. Maybe there's some later model cars that you can play a game with! Will it sell within a weekend? Or will it be scrapped? I hope you can save the front ends off of later model cars because they're nostalgic these days! If possible, maybe save a few 80s and 90s classics!

Sakes alive!!!!!!! We have so many different vehicles manufactured over the years. I remember those big trucks from when I was a little tyke and viewed many Studebaker trucks as they were a bread-and-butter sales vehicle for Studebaker. Mt Dad sold off some pine trees for pulpwood when we were living up in the Atlanta Ga area (Tucker Ga). Those pulpwood trucks were mostly single axle 11/2-ton Chevrolets and Dodges and Fords. These trucks mostly were just a basic cab (no doors) and no fenders (only a hood over the engine) The good ole boys that drove them were safety conscious as they had seat belts which consisted of a rope to keep them tied into the truck. Of course, that would not fly these days but back in the nineteen fifties it wasn't as tightly regulated as today. I have a 1946 GMC 11/2 truck I acquired over forty years ago. Installed a SBC with a turbo 400 transmission and of course it just rests in the shop, but i have driven it and it doesn't ride half bad. The rest of the truck is original but well used and I have done the brakes and the kingpins. Hate to see these trucks cut up especially the ones that are in pretty good shape but also understand that people do not want original drive trains and such and of course you are a businessman, and you do what is best for your livelihood. Your price on these trucks is pretty reasonable but the transportation costs factor in and I am sure that, that turns a lot of people off, but it is what it is as far as what it costs to operate a transportation business. That is of course not your fault, it is just a legitimate transportation company has high costs. Most people do not realize that transportation for hire is a highly regulated industry. Ask me how I know.

I like your videos. I work at a pick n pull yard. We have cars from 2017 to 1980. It's exhausting and filthy dismantling these cars. Let alone customers thinking you have every car, every part, every part is working. No tools we don't pick parts. We don't inventory parts. Over 1000 vehicles. They don't understand we cant keep track of parts. We had 50 percent off for four days during labor days. Nothing left. It's in the yard for a reason. so I appreciate how hard you are working. We charge 2$ to get in. Alot of stealing. People jumping fences. Pack packs. They don't get charged .

5:23 You're almost right - its a 1969 Ranger - the grille, bright-work, and wood-grain trim in the interior are the distinguishing elements for the Ranger trim package. Definitely not a 1967. 1967 had 4 grille bars that were all equal size and spacing whereas 1968-69 had 2 upper and 2 lower grille bars separated by a wider center bar. The 1969 Ranger grille had a distinct feature in the red stripe and emblem on the center bar. They also had black paint on the headlight doors. 1698 Rangers had the emblem but no red stripe and headlight doors had no paint. Sorry - I know I come off as a geeking maniac here - but 1968 is my favorite Ford truck. Spotted a couple other gems: 16:52 1963-66 Carryall/Suburban 16:57 1964-65 Thunderbird

I've been through Kansas on my way to work in the Oklahoma panhandle. Coming from Ohio, people all around the country love to shit on my homestate, but I'm certain it takes strength to live there. It's most likely the most flat/ featureless landscapes of all 50 states. I would actually get excited to see a tree or a rock, anything. 99.8% farms and fences border to border. Not to mention the weather. It's beautiful skywards and unlike anywhere else in the world but I salute you.

I am so glad that you attempt to save what you can. Because I know of yards where they will not sell anything and all they do is recycle. Legal reasons not wanting to mess with it not knowing its value as Parts just not interested whatever reason is I can think of one in particular the stack of trucks I saw could easily be part it out on the internet and a couple of weeks time for 4or 5 times what they get out of it and scrap value. Now I don't part out either. That's $85,000 in scrap prices at $100 a ton! Congratulations! Plus whatever you got out of the converters and everything else. The fact that you can make this kind of money with quantity and you still take the time to save the old ones as you can and sell them is quite commendable. Also it makes you a little more money even though they extra-time may not always be worth it individually. I'll finish watching this episode after it gets dark I got something to get done 👍. Fantastic that you do take your time to save what you can save with parameters. Oh there's a lot of expenses you got upkeep on equipment got got to pay rent got paid land payments you have to buy the equipment. Harvard loans hear your father. The money definitely goes quickly.

Then you can get yourself one of those slides and go right off the top of that bus into your grain bin pool.
