Ya know... even though it was pretty warm (90s) that pool was still pretty cold! 😂 but I bet in 100 degree weather it would feel spectacular! Kathryn really enjoyed that hammock! She dozed off in it a few times!

The Airbnb looked very inviting. Had a welcoming atmosphere that seemed to flow throughout Merida. the food looked delicious, but couldn't compare to home cooked. Pretty stellar compilation of what Merida has to offer, and Airbnb's for $100/night makes it even more inviting. I'm going to save this series for reference when I want to plan something south of the border. Keep enjoying life and traveling... you both are doing so well already. I'm glad you guys were able to take it slow and stay in one place for awhile. I know a couple years ago you felt the same way about being in southern Utah for a month or two in the van. It seems like it gives you guys more time to explore, rest, and work. Normally I'm not a fan of high 80s and up, but I'm wishing I could escape some. A couple weeks ago it was -20°F to -5°F. Lately it has been -5°F to +20°F. It's sad that I ready for the 30s again and for it to snow again this week. Lol. Enjoy some warmer temperatures for me.

Yes we would prefer to slow down and spend more time in places. It just depends on the area. Some places are better for it than others (options for places to stay). Wow that's cold! Even here in Austin we had a cold spell, but it's mostly been 60-80s here!

Thanks for sharing details about your airbnb - something I love to learn about and a service I use often when traveling. I can understand how that dipping pool may have sealed the deal for you. As far as actually cooking in your kitchen (and on the grill), about how often were you preparing your own meals versus dining out (especially since dining out is part of your jobs) - like a percentage? Also, during your two week stay in Merida, what was the worst weather day you actually had? Thanks again - love your work!!

We cooked about 40% of our meals. It rained one of the first days we were there for a couple hours, but other than that it was pretty sunny and warm! Thank you!

Hi guys I noticed those floors before you said anything. I am a tile contractor and those floors are very cool fun tiles to install. Mexico architecture is always so cool. Looks like a nice place beats the van I believe.

No the water is not safe to drink. You have to drink from the large jugs of purified water or bottled water. The antibacterial drop worked great!

Yes Merida is considered the safest city in Mexico. We felt very safe there. Kona was super happy to see us and we were very excited to see her too!
