Awesome, we're so jealous. We only have 7 degrees and rain. I'm already looking forward to March, when we'll be in Florida for 3 weeks.

Really enjoyed the time lapse canal ride from how it was in August. It's a really nice area. You chose well! I also noticed the song titles and details in your description. I guess I noticed it a few videos earlier. I'm sure it's tedious, but it is appreciated.

We were fine and went all the way to the end of the canal at Ragged Ass Saloon. Again that Eas just the pontoon that only draws 1.5’ but many other boats were in there too.

This video taught me something interesting to me. KZbin told me this video was from 6 months ago but I look at the calendar and easily see it was 11 months ago. Not a big deal, but as a Cyber Security researcher, it turned a light on for me. Thank you. 🤓

I loved watching your trip. I learned a lot about the ICW from your trip. We’re planning on doing it next season. Leaving from Jersey and going up a little further on west coast, St Petersburg area. Can you put a video up showing the totals for the whole trip? Thanks!

Are there canal signs or you just have to know? Everything looks good. Area is beautiful.

There are signs on most canals to help. This video is prior to hurricane Ian.

Thanks, great video! Looking back at it would you do anything differently in preperation for Ian or future hurricans?

2 things. I’d stay home and now that I have my own better built dock, just keep the boat at my dock.

I’m a recent subscriber and really enjoyed your vlogs from ny to fl. My wife and I have the same aspirations to get out of Philly area at some point. I checked your older videos and perhaps I missed it but can you give us your mindset on the decision to uproot and move and how you picked Cape Coral Florida and the process of searching for real estate when you lived so far away? Also did you sell your house in NY and move all your belongings or did you garage sale them and started new in FL? Thanks!
@AdventuresofHappyOurs2 жыл бұрын
This answer can be a video into itself. We sold most of our belongings as well as the NY house prior to moving to Florida. We don’t like winter and Chose Cape Coral due to the boating community and ability to get a canal home at relatively reasonable cost. We also have some friends and family in SW florida which helps with the transition. Our Kids are older so made it easier to relocate. Looking at houses was not easy. Zillow and internet was a godsend. We only had to fly down twice to look at houses before finding the one we bought. We were able to eliminate most others by looking at pictures or virtual walk thrus with our realtor or friends/family. Make the move, it’s worth it for the weather alone.

How do they keep that maze of canals from becoming stagnant ?
@AdventuresofHappyOurs10 ай бұрын
Water flows in and out with tide and there are a network of larger basins and lakes attached that help. Awesome canal system to tour.
