Ford Explorer full comprehensive review 2015 to 2016

In this review, AVR takes to the road and travels nearly 1,600 miles. Our trip takes us to Sedona, Arizona where we put the Ford Explorer to the test and see if its up to the task.

man these new ford explorer looks so beast. i like the new look ford put into these explorers. such a big change. i use to not like explorers. now i own this same exact one but in white. Gonna lift it, put some off road wheels and a rhino push grill. Gonna look beast!

I have this exact vehicle. I can confirm 95% of the time I use it on pavement. It is rock solid at 90 and can stay there all day. I love my baby.

My moms 2013 explorer is a 4wd. Thing is fast, great acceleration, and does great in rough conditions

Really cool auto seats! And I wish my FJ Cruiser had 100 extra horse power and a few more ft.lbs of torque ( for the same mpg ) like that eco-boost.

I have a red 2015 LIMITED\4WD\FlexFuel and I would like to add to your MPG numbers that with Flexfuel, you're lucky if you get 11MPG but the car is zippy especially on hot summer days with the dual A\C on, because with pump gas, car feels heavy. BTW, the car is a combination AWD (full time) and 4WD (optional).

Thanks for te comment. AVR would love to get our hands on all the vehicles you mentioned. Currently we are striving to build our viewership. This will assist in growing our vehicle selection. Each vehicle review we have done so far has been privately owned. Eventially, AVR will make a footprint and be recognized by all auto manufacturers.

Intelligent 4wd basically means it's a AWD but with options to be 4WD?

No. Just terrain management. Mud and rut, snow gravel grass, and sand mode.

AWD is by no means equivalent to 4WD. AWD is designated for street driving only, not for the trails. Theres lots of videos out there explaining the difference

Those tires have to be the worst tires ever for off-road. I have all terrain on my explorer and does way better. I've been in snow, sand , rock and little mud. Only draw back is climbing the computer kicks in and holds my power. So frustrating
