Using eyes and instincts -- no electronics -- no rich adults playing video games -- how refreshing.

This video made my day, what a blessing. Love the videos of just raw fishing. Got me motivated to get on the water as soon as winter fades away here in northeast PA.

This is fishing instinctively, my favorite, big fish in cover. Was on the Guadalupe Tuesday, 11 fish in about 3 leisurely hours. Fish were all over new water lilies in a few feet of water. You've got great instincts Kristine

Thanks for the video my wife and I watch all the time. You do great on your own but I've noticed using a round Bend hook instead of a wide Gap seems to hook them better. As far as keeping them pinned, I noticed your really pull hard and I understand in kayak and with lots of vegetation a strong Hookset is important. However bass will inhale the fluke and hold it in their lips, then with another gulp they suck it down to their crushers. So waiting and extra second sort of like a topwater frog can improve your hookup ratio. Learned tips from you as well so hope this helps. Yak-On.😊❤

Good grief K. That water was loaded!!! I swear when you're standing & do that banana back bend it looks like you're going overboard every time 😂😂😂. 👍👴🦸♀️🎣🇺🇸🦅

Amazing how many fish you caught! I didn't see how you rigged the fluke, but I found that I had to rig my flukes with a straight flipping/punching hook to get the better hookup to land ratio. This helped me in Clear Lake CA when I got on a great fluke bite around lots of grass. Was using EWG and found that this style hook didn't help. Switching to straight shank flipping solved it. Didn't seem to hurt the action. Thanks for another great video!

Had to chuckle the way you tossed the first white bass back!! Glad you caught some big ones!! So jealous. I have carpal tunnel and trigger finger surger today, so will be out for a few weeks.
@AbbyNormill11 ай бұрын
Fun video. I'm a tad jealous. You might want to try a Gamakatzu hybrid offset worm hook with the fluke. The hook point rides a little above the line tie, rather than in line with it. It's helped me.

Kinda "Un-Wind" from all the rigors of competitions, which is good for the Soul...! Great day of fishin', and you got to relax (in your own special way! I'm really jealous, though!) Lol...

Hey Kristine, I tend to Texas rig my flukes with a 1/0 or 3/0 offset straight shank hook. Sometimes I'll nose hook 'em on size 2 dropshot hook w/ a small CPS spring. I'm usually using junior size super fluke so I'll go with a ML spinning setup and set the hook straight up into their mouth. As always, good luck from a fellow Nebraskan!

That's the way I do it. 3 of the biggest bass I've caught in Indiana were in 2 foot of water or less. I cracked a 20 1/4" bass last spring in about 18" of water. They are in there!!! I don't use electronics. Don't need too. 😊👍

Most of your missed fish was due to casting over the bush & weed mat. Very hard to drag them through that stuff without them jumping up first an dislodging bait. Thanks for the video ❤

Kristine, I enjoy watching your videos and don’t mind seeing you use the electronics. If you don’t you will be left behind. I have been thinking of getting a kayak but I’m turning 73 on the 8th. Do you think I could launch the kayak by myself? What kayak would you recommend for just fishing for fun because I love bass fishing?🙏🎣♥️
@homegrowncatch11 ай бұрын
Try using an offset worm hook for flukes. Don’t come through the top just stick it in at the natural angle and when fish bites the point is pushed up more than on EWG. You can do same thing by bending the ewg out a little I just like the worm hook better. I use 5.75” flukes with 4/0 worm hook. 5/0 if you can find them

Dang girl your a hammer....nice to see real bass fishing...not spotlighting ...I got were only throw flukes and weightless worms on braid only...and let em run a little when they get it. That's what helped me
