Hello Andrew, great lesson. I took notes of it to study them afterwards. I've been wondering if you could make a lesson about the subject-verb inversion when you use the negative frequency adverbs to show emphasise. Thanks in advance!

Jose Enrique Perez Castaño Hello and thanks for the comment and question and really sorry for the delay in replying to you. I'm not sure what you mean. Could you give an example? Best wishes, Andrew
@joseenriqueperezcastano78209 жыл бұрын
It's ok Andrew!. Yes, I can give you an example: 'Never has there been such an opportunity!' or 'Rarely have I seen such a beautiful sunset'. I hope this helps.
@CrownAcademyEnglish9 жыл бұрын
+Jose Enrique Perez Castaño Hi again and sorry for the delay. I have been on holiday. :) It is unlikely that I will make a video about this because it is quite specific. But it is essentially a formal way of expressing something. 'Never has there been such an opportunity!' is exactly the same as ''There has never been such an opportunity!' and ''Rarely have I seen such a beautiful sunset' is exactly the same as 'I have rarely seen such a beautiful sunset.' It gives slight emphasis because the adverb of frequency is the *first* word. So we first hear (or read) the word "never" for example. I hope that helps. :) Andrew
