Hey, I really enjoyed the video. I have a question. Is it possible if I take an extra year and apply in my fifth year instead of the fourth year? Just so I can get my grades to where I want it.

Hi! Thank you, I appreciate the feedback. Yes, absolutely you can do that. Schools will take your 20 most recent credits. Usually that is your 3rd and 4th year. However, if you were to take a whole 5th year, they'd look at your 4th and 5th year marks. For more info, check out the GPA video on my channel. Hope that helps. Thanks again for watching.

Hi! Curious about your thoughts on whether one should apply to a program if they technically meet the minimum GPA requirement but aren’t high enough to meet the previous years’ cutoffs? Is it just a money grab for schools to have a much lower requirement vs the actual cutoff that results from each application cycle? TIA!

Hi Paula! Thanks for the comment. That's a good question. I'd say to save your money and not apply if you know your GPA is going to be lower than the schools cut-off. As a personal example, when I applied, I did not apply to UofT because I already knew I'd be below their cut-off, so I just decided to keep them off my list. I'm confident that my experiences, references, etc. would have given me a good chance for UofT, but because I wasn't going to meet their cut-off, I didn't bother. Solely because those components won't even be looked at if the cut-off isn't met or exceeded. All that said, if you're on the cusp of the cut-off, I'd apply. You never know if it's going to go slightly up or slightly down, so may as well go for it. I also want to stress that everything I mentioned above is my personal opinion/take. Always do what's best for you. Hope that helps.

I am gonna go for kin course as a pre-physio course. What did you major in at Univ? to get into physiotherapy course, what GPA is average? Thank you! I will keep my eyes on your video.

Hi! Do you know any online courses I could take that could help in in my admission? I'm looking for online courses that offer grades so that they would be counted towards my sub-GPA.

Hi Claire! From what I know, you have two options: (1) You can take an extra course at the university that you graduated from, or (2) You can look into Athabasca University - if I'm not mistaken, they offer courses to take to boost GPA www.athabascau.ca

Check out Volunteer Canada's website! They have a ton of volunteer opportunities. Personal trainer is a great experience to have prior to PT school as well.
