I am from South Africa and I have a very clear English accent and often get comments/compliments on my voice such as " I love your accent" and "Are you from the states?" (People usually seem quite shocked when I reply with "no") - Although this may be the case for me personally, Online job sites are oblivious/redundant towards South African English teachers and I haven't gotten any online job offers (whatsoever) due to the stereotypical accent reputation South Africans are known for. - Most modern South Africans have an accent very similar to the standard British accent (UK).
