Thanks for making this video. I’m curious if someone who’s a tenured salesperson would be considered “entry level”. I’ve looked at transitioning into recruiting and it’s been much more challenging than I expected.

What are your career goals? Your degree should align with what you plan on doing down the line. For example, I work in recruiting, however my long term goal is to be an HR director, so I majored in HR.

New sub here, fantastic video. What salary would you suggest would be be appropriate for an entry level recruiter?
@katjcoaching2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching my content! This would vary based on where you live. I started in NYC 7 years ago and got 45k. I could have gotten more if I knew how to negotiate salary! If the company asks - always give a range higher than what you really want. Also, google average earnings for recruiters in your area 👍🏽

Hi! This is true, in my experience! I landed a recruiter/on-site staffing supervisor role for a local staffing agency almost a year ago as I was graduating with my bachelor’s in Psych/Comm. I’m on site at a warehouse/logistics company. An ex co-worker recently reached out to me asking if I’m interested in recruiting for a staffing called “OnTrack.” It is 100% remote and the pay could be much better as well as a few benefits (right now I have none) it is also in the same field which is ideal since I could continue practicing and improving and perhaps later switch to recruiting for IT or a different field. HOWEVER, I am very nervous since this is definitely more fast paced (minimum of 50 calls per day). Do you have any advise/experience with working on-site vs fully remote?? I am hoping it could be an opportunity to improve my work-life balance since right now my job is too demanding and at the same tome is getting boring for me. I have no support from my manager/the owner of the staffing agency. Please and thank you so much for your great videos!

Thanks for sharing! I’m working remote right now and I love it! I have two small kids and it works much better with their schedules. I’m actually able to do laundry! Lol…as long as you get your work done, it really doesn’t matter if you’re in an office or at home 👍🏽
