Man, only if I hadn't been reckless and chipped off a piece of my kneecap while digging for a ball WITHOUT KNEEPADS would I still be playing at my max... now im hobbling all over the place to truamatized to dig for a ball thats real low. [Yes I got surgery, off PT but still recovering but sometimes play when my knee feeling alright.. all I need is strength!] Other than that, before my major injury. Everything in the video matches up with me 😂. [Minus setting...] my energy is there, hardheadness, wacky saves and strong mental even with the backlash.

don't worry about getting hit in the head too much. As intimidating as it may feel, it doesn't occur as much as you might think. However, if there is an appropriate response, perhaps the following would help... Keep a low centre of gravity, and your arms wide open and mid-body level, this way if the ball is coming to your head then you can react fast enough to bring your hands near your head to set. If you can't, then train your reactions. It's not very common that a person gets hit in the head. Also, move back when starting the point, it's always easy to move forward in volleyball, so if you start from the back or relatively behind, then you can move into the ball and ensure it hits your arms, or if it's high when you are at the back, you can just duck as it will likely go out.
