@@yahyamohamed4862 Sheikh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen has opined on Tablighi jamaat in these words. Translation Question: I have started to become committed recently, praise be to Allaah. In our area there is the Jamaa?at al-Tableegh, who go out for thirty days or more. People say different things about them. Some say, don't go out with them, because their going out is an innovation (bidah) and they have some mistaken ideas. Others advised me to go out with them. What is the correct view concerning that? Should I go out with them or not?. HIS ANSWER (Al-Baab al-Maftooh, no. 10, P. 304.) Answer: Praise be to Allaah. We have already discussed this group and some of their pros and cons. Usually in every issue there are two extremes and a middle way. Some people praise this group a great deal and encourage going out with them; others condemn them a great deal and warn against them more than they would warn you about a lion. And some people tread a middle path between those two extremes. I think that there is some good in this group; they call others to Islam and have a clear influence that no other daaiyahs have had. Many kaafirs have become believers at their hands, and many evil doers has Allaah guided through them. Moreover they have an attitude of humility and selflessness that is not found in many others. Some people say that they have no knowledge of hadeeth, and so on. They are undoubtedly good people, but I think that those of them who are in Saudi do not go to Pakistan or other countries, and we do not know anything about the aqeedah of those people (in other countries) or their manhaj (methodology). But there is nothing wrong with the manhaj followed by our companions here in Saudi. With regard to limiting dawah to three or four days, or to two or four or six months, or two years, there is no sharaee evidence for that. But they think that this has to do with organization (of groups). If a person goes out for three days, and knows that he is limited to these three days, he will focus his mind and forget about worldly matters. This is the matter of organization, and is not an act of worship or a matter of shareeah. I think, may Allaah bless you, that if you have the opportunity to seek knowledge then it is better to do that, because seeking knowledge is good and the people nowadays have a great need for scholars who have knowledge of the Sunnah and who are well-versed in knowledge. If you are not able to seek knowledge, and you go out with them in order to purify yourself, there is nothing wrong with that. There are many people whom Allaah has guided at their hands. And Allaah is the Source of strength

They can feel the sins being committed by people. Therefore the story of the Imam of the world Hadhrat Abu Haneefah is famous that he used to stand outside the Masjid of Koofah and see the sins of the people fall out as they performed wudu." What heavens are going to hide such lies and heresy! This is Sufism at its extreme my brothers. Kandalvi was so bold that he attributed the aqeedah of Kashf to the Noble Companions! Sahih al-Bukhari 106 Narrated `Ali: "‏ لاَ تَكْذِبُوا عَلَىَّ، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَىَّ فَلْيَلِجِ النَّارَ ‏"‏‏ The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do not tell a lie against me for whoever tells a lie against me (intentionally) then he will surely enter the Hell-fire."

For the first hadith, when he was showing the arabic text, I could see on the other page the translation still being continued. So that raised my flag and after downloading the pdf, I could clearly see this man intentionally/unintentionally (Allahu Alam) hid the translation because he had to say "no one reads the arabic" implying the translation is not done correctly or some translations are skipped. But if you see the complete translation, you can find this in the paragraph: "Eminent theologians like Ibn Hajr, Abu Laith Samarqandi (Rahmatullah alaihim), and others, have mentioned this hadith in their books. Although I have not been able to trace the text in original books on hadith, yet otner hadiths, some of which have already been mentioned and some are to follow, corroborate its meaning." So the translator actually DID THE JOB to let us non-arabic speakers know that the Shaykh did not find the hadith himself but he found it in other scholars' books. And he also clarifies that he is mentioning this hadith because all these points are backed by other hadiths some of which he previously mentioned. May Allah protect us from spreading fitnah.

That still doesn't change the fact that even if you use Weak Hadith they can be used for virtues but fabricated Hadith are straight up Ally and we cannot defend Any Lies as Muslims. Also it doesn't matter if he clarified that he couldn't find the link or whether he was using it to make a point because using A lie to make a point still doesn't change the Lie. I'm not saying that sheikh did it on purpose, he's a human being and he probably didn't know that the Hadith was fake. That's why it's better for the common person to not use something in which they can't tell the difference. Just like the hadees about Adam A.S that can mess up someone's aqeedah about Islam. It's better that the sheikh who wrote the book, his sons update it but some Hadith can lead people to wrong beliefs which is dangerous. We can't present this to nonMuslims who want to come to Islam so why should we presmt this to Muslims.

@@FaZe567, it contains much more and much worse than a “few” fabricated ahadith. I will mention too that many of those ahadith were taken from books that were written specifically to warn people about fabrications. It was the stories in the book that are attributed to no person, so we can’t find out if the writer was honourable or dishonourable. The stories contain people who claim they can see the unseen and worse. If I invite you to a banquet and when it is time to eat I tell you that, “Oh, by the way, a few of these dishes contain poison so make dua that Allah will protect you from it before you eat”. Now, would you make dua and eat or would you say “I’m out of here” and leave my banquet? If you end up on one (or more) of the turn offs from the mustaqeem, you flirt with hellfire. I’ll finish by noting the way you labeled me a Salafi, like I’m a member if a sect, concerns me. We need to be strong together and not divide. This is why I do not sit with people that I identify are in a sect or people of biddah. So I will wear your label knowing the true meaning of the word.

Just think if those jamaatis who came to you spending their own money and took effort got inspiration from the same book. As someone who benefited from it and now at a high place with influence, your effort should've been to work with the central marakiz of Nizamuddin and Raiwind to remove the fabricated ahaadeeth and have people continue to benefit from such a great book that has been the reason for hidayah for millions of people in the subcontinent. It has over 100k views now. The Shia are Jews in disguise. The one they are waiting for is the Dajjal and not the real Mahdi. Their 12th imam never existed. I used to be around Muslim brothers who seemingly lived and died by this book. Asking them, for instance, why they don't read from the Qur'an Majid is a taboo subject. If you have the nerve to in fact ask it, they dismiss your question, stating in sum and substance that only the Alims/scholars could read from it as the Qur'an is too complicated a study. Sadly their behavior seems akin to the Hindus who refuse to read from their Holy Books (which forbid idolatry) and instead listen to their priests (who promote idolatry as a means to get near to God). Don't get me wrong, they are good people, but I fear they stubbornly refuse to educate themselves on Islam and instead push for an ascetic, monastic approach towards nearing Allah s.w.t.

Interesting! While the overwhelming message is a positive one in that we must take greater care about the veracity of the hadith; however, I have a couple of points to consider. 1) Given that most Muslims would hold tafsir ibn katheer in much higher regards than fazail amal, do you maintain consistency in your judgement when you find multiple instances of non-verifiable fabricated Israeli narratives in such a major exegisis? 2) You quote a few examples and at least two of them you mention that the author/muhaqqiq clarifies that these are unfounded/unverifiable/false etc. If the author clarifies this then it serves an informative purpose only. How is this problematic when the unacceptability is clear to the authorship as well as the readership? 3) You mention this negatively affecting aqeedah, but non of the fabricated hadith you quoted conveys a detrimental theological connotation per se. So how have you made the leap from textual fabrication (congruent with permitted practice) to deviated belief?

1. tafsir ibn kathir and tabari are not to be read by just anyone they are books to be studied under teachers for the common people you have other books of tafasir such as tafsir as saadi 2. no its not clear to the reader. ive never even held the book in my life but ive been in many tableeghi circles where they start reading from it after maghrib and they'd be reading fabricated ahadith like its stamped with sahih they dont even mention the grading of it or what the author said about it. most people who use that book probably dont even know what terms like daif and mawdoo mean. 3. ofc there are more fabricated ahadith in the book then the ones hes just mentioned and some of them are pretty dodgy, like none of them is gonna be something extreme like rasulullah salallahu alayhi wasalam controls the sun and the moon, it would be something more minor which the common person might not pick up on . regardless there are better books to use to remind people, like riyadh as saliheen by imam an nawawi. that book is much much better and way more credible.
@mohamed-sr3il
@mohamed-sr3il 2 жыл бұрын
@@SpinoBroshub 1) So in short your answer to the point I raised, seems to indicate that inconsistency in judgement has been applied. Very interesting! Though you have attempted to justify this. While the inconsistency is problematic per se, nevertheless, let's take a look at your rationale. If we hypothetically accept your attempt at explanation, it raises even more concerns namely, books of scholastic status require a higher level of scrutiny and veracity and not the other way round. Furthermore, your reasoning hinges on readership-type yet not sure how you reach such a definitive distinction of which readership has access to which books! At best you might have confused, 'advisory' for 'mandatory'. Nor is this distinction you make founded in reality. Today at least one of these books has been translated and is widely utilised by all scholars and laymen alike. The other book has also been partially translated. 2) This is circular reasoning and a fallacy. There are many other major books (Ibn Majah, Al Nasaee, Al Bukhari, Riyadh ul Saleheen) that also don't share the grading including riyadh ul saleheen. Notice it's the book you advise the layman to utilise. Again you seem to be extremely inconsistent in applying your judgement. I wonder what motivates you to be so selective. This time round your distinction of layman Vs scholar doesn't apply as you yourself recommend Riyadh Ul Saleheen for the lay person. As for the readership not comprehending daeef and mawdhoo, I appreciate they may not understand the in-depth concept as many who think they do very obviously don't either; nevertheless, there should be no difficulty for even a 7 year old in grasping the gist from the translation that it is a grading system and 'weak' is considered very low in the scale As for readership not mentioning the grading, this is your isolated experience and cannot be evidence for any serious discussion like this one. Furthermore, which is more credible? Text that contains grading regardless of readership stating it or not OR text that actually contains unverifiable fabricated narratives without any grading whatsoever so readership can't state it anyway? 3) Did you count these or have access to research? Could you present a quantitative comparison please? After all we are discussing rigour and veracity! I'll await this. Thanks in advance. Oh and please do provide a reference for the statement you attributed to as 'dodgy'. I'll await this. Thanks. I wonder if dodgy is your own classification. If you think what you referred to as dodgy is undesirable, then you obviously have not read the Israeli narratives in tafsir ibn kathir. Sigh. As you pointed out, as being someone who hasn't even held fazail amal, you sure seem to have some very strong claims about it yet very little about the books that were intially raised in point one above.

Last day I enquired about this from a person who is closely associated with TJ. He replied that we don't use fazail e amaal that much now, in arab countries Riaz-us-Saliheen is being widely used and in non arab countries muntakhib ahadees, which doesn't contain even weak narrations let alone fabricated, is being is widely used and current ameer of TJ, Maulana Saad, has also adviced the TJ members to try to use Bukhari and Muslim instead of other book. He also went on saying that he never has read the fazail e amaal though he bought it but never read it. I think it's a good thing to advise them about these faults which might corrupt aqeedah or might have other harms. One of the fault that I've noticed in TJ is that they take unnecessary on hikmat/hikmah. They try to refrain correcting immediately or for sometime the people of biddah and shirk and ask them to stop such acts. I think people like Sheikh Uthman should also advise on such things because TJ have been working on such a greater scale that many muslims around the world who have distanced themselves from deen Can benefit from it. There are no fabricated hadith in that book. And as bro tahir put it all the hadith that are weak have been mentioned. 1st understand who sheikh zakaria R.A was. The man was a sheikh ul hadith who taught bukari in madinah munnowarrah for many years. A great muhaddithin of his time who has given ijazah and many an Arab alim has benefited from him. Personages like sheikh tariq al barakati (believe he used to work in the fatwa department of the haramain) and a former imam of the haramain shiekh Mohammad bin Ahmad subail (I think that's his name, I think he has passed away). He had written 30 books just on imam maliks famous muatta which even the maliki scholars extensively take from. If you read from the Urdu version of the fadail amal, most of the works are referenced at the back in the index. That brings me to the second point. This book has 7 parts to it dealing with the lives of sahabah through virtues of salah, Qur'an, ramadhan to muslim degeneration and it's remedy. Nowhere is there any fabrication because every muhaddithin knows (which this sheikh uthman would be expected to know) to use a fabricated hadith is sin. One may only use fabricated hadith to make the point it is fabricated. There are different levels of hadith grading and one may use weak hadith if not too weak (that it tithers on the borders of fabrication) for purposes of encouragement and not for fiqh (jurisprudence) issues (only sahih or I believe jayyad hadith can be used in such matters). A good e.g. is imam bukahri's sahih which have sahih hadith. But he has written works which have many a weak hadith....A'dab al Mufraad springs to mind which is used as a book for encouragement and not fiqh issues. The fadail amal is an excellent read as it is a book for encouraging Muslims to be practical and dutiful Muslims. It certainly does not dive into matters of fiqh. I am sorry to say but this sheikh has got it wrong. I would have expected him to know better. Furthermore, I have never come across any one in the effort of tabligh who has said that it is read more than the noble Qur'an. The Qur'an is the word of Allah and anyone who says and acts otherwise is a wretched destitute. In fact it is a maa'mul of a tablighi brother to read at least one juz per day. If that tablighi happens to be a hifz of the Qur'an then at least 3 juz. So there are many ill informed comments and misconceptions. InshAllah I pray and hope this clears it up. P.s I am not a tablighi nor a scholar, but I have had the honour of spending time with scholars from whom I have obtained a few pearls of wisdom which I have shared with you. However, if you do find this book blasphemous or abhorrent, then maybe read other books tablighi brothers read such as riyaadus saliheen or even muntakhab hadith. Let's see anyone fault those.

Bis millah. We should still respect the scholar that wrote this book, even though we might disagree with him, this author has a title, and we should not delete his title lest it be out of spite or poor character. You refer to yourself by a title, you refered to another scholar by a title, but you ignored this mans title... not only does that show bias because there are many books with weak and fabricated hadith but it shows poor akhlaaq. Assalamū ‘alaykum Sh. Uthman, I have a Tablighī background but I also follow the good work that you are doing besides following other dū’āt of Islam irrespective of their theological leanings as far as they fall within the ambit of Sunnī Islām. Our religion is vast and accommodating and can easily accommodate giants of our tradition with diametrically opposed views such as Hujjat Al Islām Abu Hamid Al Ghazzālī and Shaykh Al Islām Taqī ad Dīn ibn Taiymiyyāh rahim Allah ajmaīn. Please don’t narrow the vastness by casting a significant portion of the ummāh out of the fold of orthodoxy since majority of the Islamic scholarship in Egypt, Syria, North Africa, Al Andalus, Hind, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Central Asia, and many other lands of Islam have believed in the explanation of divine attributes of Allah in the light of Ashārī and Maturīdī framework instead of Shaykh Al Islām Ibn Taiymīyyāh rahimullah. The people commenting here negatively about such scholar should make sincere tawbāh for doing ghībā of so many of the ummāh lest they face Allāh’s wrath on the day of judgment. Sincerely. Your brother and well wisher.

He just explained that Al-Khandlawi is a liar and is rejected. He has other videos on why Tablighi isn't the right way. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to say, when beginning a khutbah (sermon): " The best of speech is the Book of Allaah and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The worst of things are those which are newly-invented, and every innovation is a going astray" (reported by Muslim, no. 867)

@@IbnHussain Shaykh Usman is a very sincere person who is knowledgeable as well, Allah be praised. But is he a proof (hujjah) for anyone? No. He will agree with me on this also. If your point is that he’s quoting Quran and Hadīth, well then, the other scholars are also quoting it and giving their proofs, aren’t they? Do you think the scholars of Islam are taught to call people towards their own views and not of Quran and Sunnah? This is a great slander indeed! Everyone of our scholars of the Islamic tradition frames his arguments and ideas using the framework of Quran and Sunnah. As a follower of scholars, and yes, you are one of them too unless you approach it without going to Shaykh Usman or anyone else, understands it THROUGH the lens of Islamic scholarship. If you don’t like or understand what Imam Razi said but you follow Ibn Qayyim that is fine but you’re still making taqlīd. At the end of the day, everyone is engaged in understanding the “intent” of the prophet (peace be upon him). I am not saying everyone’s opinion is correct. It may as well be Shaykh Usman who is correct and the opinion of Shaykh Zakariyya Al Kandelhvi is incorrect. How does that make Shaykh Zakariyya a liar or an evil person? It simply proves that Shaykh Usman was able to reach the correct opinion using the hermeneutical framework he uses to establish what is right and what is wrong.
