When he goes up higher without intentionally being breathy, it's impossible to tell the difference between him and Jonghyun. Noticed that when I got into them in early 2017. They have the most unique voices but if anyone could be confused it would be Jonghyun and Taemin. I needed the color coded videos to help me do it at the beginning for those two at certain ranges. Otherwise, Jonghyun and Taemin have completely different voices. It comforts me when I listen to new SHINee songs.

His vocal control is insane. He has a very unique distinctive vocal tone and color. He also uses different techniques like vocal frying and vibrato whenever it fits the best and has an immense control over his breath/breathing. He's also very quick to adjust to the key he's singing in and does all this while being very expressive through his voice. A very rare vocalist, a true legend Taemin

@@jasan_o3633 I know, but he started to learn the piano even before his debut, that's why I think it was just a careless insult. He was going through his puberty when SHINee was about to make their debut, so he was not able to take vocal lessons because of his voice change. Therefore, he focused on practicing dancing instead. Someone even said that he didn't have a singing voice. It motivated him to work harder and now here he is. I mean, he even participated in Immortal Song (2012) though he was not the main vocalist in his group.

SM had made really bad decisions with his solo career. Instead of forming SuperM, they've should've tried to push Taemin's solo career more and give him a tour in Europe and USA. He has so many fans around the world.

@@solasluna192 I think that is the beat thing SM did to him aside of giving him a solo career at the very young age. If I am not mistaken Taemin was the first artist in a male group who was given a solo career as a singer and from that point because Taemin solo career was successful they made let others have a solo career as a singer too. Also back to your comment, SM did the right thing for letting him in the SuperM, it makes him more popular in Western Kpop fan because of SuperM. If you try to re-watch all the member teaser of SuperM you can see Taemin is included in all members teaser, it only shows how SM treasures Taemin. I really hate to see this but one of SM favorites solo artist from them as a singer aside from BoA is Taemin. Taemin is like the epitome of a complete package of a pop idol, he can dance and sing and got charisma on stage with an IT factor. It seems like they saw Taemin as a male version of BoA. Have you not ever wonder why Taemin got debuted at the very young age with SHINee at the age of 14/15? Maybe they saw a great potential of him that they don't want to wait longer for him to debut in EXO because they need him to evolve as an artist at a very young age, because tbh SM cannot debut him in 2008 as a solo artist because he was still lacking at those times but being him in a group will make him evolve as an artist. Taemin solo career must already been a set up by SM from very beginning. Now let us wait what would SM do with him after his military service.
