Just tuned into this and lo and behold, you might have been speaking to me. I’ve made a very squeaky attempt to reach out to an estranged sibling and have found myself in all sorts of turmoil along the way. Your advice to this young man has now been taken on into the journey I am on, at age 64. You are such a big, bright, bold hearted person! Thank you.... again, for your loving kindness, the sage wisdom about families! So the ripples you make continue to extend and expand. Powerful.

Colette, not only is Bealtaine a manifestation of the goddess -- of mother Earth -- but it is also a manifestation of the love that each of us can provide one another. Who would have thought that a small woodland in Ireland could bring so many people together for compassion and empathy. I dare not call it a support group. Rather it is a gathering of people who are making a difference in the world as individuals and as a group. You are the catalyst for this my friend because of your unique way of seeing things and we are empowered by your grace. Much love and blessings to you! P.S. Dame Edna!! One of my favorite people. Made me laugh from my belly!

I've always found this line from "Desiderata" to be profound: "You are a child of the Universe... no less than the trees and the stars... you have a right to be here... and whether or not it is clear to you... no doubt the Universe is unfolding as it should."

Colette....I have learned as you have and find solace in how you describe your less than idealic family/siblings.....mine too is horrible...I find comfort in the land and planting...I tell my children and I advise your young man..get your hands in the dirt and create by planting.......and then walk in it....!........I wish I could meet you...creatig my own Bealtaine here in central Ohio on my three acres....! you are such an inspiration and comfort...blessings...! and bless the young man.........and I too laugh at your comment on your Grandmother.I tell my children "I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.." I feel always a child.......HA!

Colette you and everyone here gave such good advice, I have only a small bit to add. Johnathan, make yourself a general plan, but keep it open. Envision what you want, where you want to be. Then research. Moving to a rural area means longer commutes, or generally less pay if you work local, but that is negated by less cost of living. It's all what you determine is important to you. Life is fluid, so in setting those goals, keep in mind it may take a few side steps. In my early twenties I was living in a high rise, but my connection to the earth remained in house plants and patio tomatoes. Sometimes family won't share your vision, but sometimes they see things you don't--we have an old saying: don't throw the baby out with the bath water. And don't rush it! You're still young. You'll get there, just don't forget to enjoy the ride.

Beautiful, loving your new flow Colette, so good to hear you happy and full of the Joys. All the best to "Jonathon" too and that your map helps him find "his way". Raising Joy and spreading Joy is the way forth into the Light. Blessings for you and your wonderful Bealtaine Family.

Jack says to take slow down and take time to eat more cookies! Jonathan, just remember to breathe. Know that your journey is not the same as anyone in your family (probably much to their chagrin). You have your own path to follow and you will be miserable if you try to please everyone else. Listen to their advise and give it a good ponder, write it down if you will, but give it all time. Everything will come out in the wash. Peace. 🍀🌀

I am avoiding stress and maximizing joy. There is an art to living that I seem to be just catching on to as I get older. I love Jack also. Sammy Bear is sweet! Love the creatures! Thank you! 💌

Love, laughter, wisdom and compassion all in one video! Marvellous! Life is a journey,a sacred one, with many crossroads and changes in direction. There is always someone to question and criticise your choices Jonathan but equally there will be encouragers and cheerleaders. However, this is your life and it is not a one size fits all affair. Colette's advice is sound. Find pleasure in the small things and take some time to relax each day. Blessings to you Jonathan and to you dear Colette. How I love this little community that's grown around your vision at Bealtaine. Xx

the secret to staying young, dont think old, if you start thinking old you get old, its like a form of self hypnosis, if possible, mix with young children, ( not easy if your a man, because of a few people, that ruin it for us ) youngsters keep you thinking young, and their really useful, when your computer, refuses to behave itself, you grab a youngster, point at your computer and say, fix, they think its hilarious, and say, look its simples, and i say, yes, but do you know how to build one, ( touché ) and learn to laugh at yourself, we do tend to over think things, children dont, do that, to them, either it is or it isn't, simples

I should do more of those things you advised the young man to do. I'm sure I'd feel more happy and content, but I'm one of the people who has in a way let "life happen to me" So now we've got alot on our metaphorical plate but they are things with a conclusion if we are committed. But we're trying to follow the advice to spend more time in the company of the Goddess, outside among the trees and bird song. I good walk outside is great to refresh the mind but you have to let yourself enjoy it and not preoccupy your mind with life struggles. We're planning to go to the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia this weekend and I am going to try getting some lovely photos I'd like to share on Facebook for all to see :)

Dear Young Man, while family has brought you here to experience life, the choices in how you experience it must remain yours and not theirs. Be tender when needed while holding a steadfast strength with boundaries. Remain true to your feelings, but don't let them confuse you, learn from them, acknowledge them, and let them go so you won't take life to seriously. Your life will unfold daily, and as time passes your destiny will reveal itself to you. So don't rush, this won't happen overnight. And as Colette says laugh, laugh, laugh every chance you get! Peace sent your way!

Beautiful joyous video! You seem to be in great spirits Colette, I'm so happy ^-^ Dear Jonathan, I'm so sorry you are having difficult times with your family, but try not to take it personally, be as understanding and loving as possible. Try and see them as their innocent child selves simply asking for affection/attention in the only ways they know how (tantrums, hurtful behavior etc) If you do this nothing they do in the future could ever offend you ever again. Their responses are only a reflection of what's within themselves, not you. You are so loved dear soul xxx

I want to thank everyone very much for your kind and helpful comments. Also thanks Susan for buying a map for me. My life is just sort of stagnant now.... I need something money can't ever buy. I live in a city area... it can get boring really fast.. I would love a country life more... somewhere where there's less concrete and more greenery.

the dog or cat shelter, was the best bit of advice, your in a giving situation, but its a two way street, your life might feel like shit, but by helping them, your forgetting your own troubles, and they, will really appreciate, your caring about them, because their probably feeling like life is shit to, so you will both, be on a connected path, and its great, to be appreciated, for who you are, but chose one, where they dont euthanize, unnecessarily, because that will just bring you down

To Jonathan, Sometimes we learn what not to do by observing others, including family. Your life is a precious gift from our Heavenly Father. Turn to Him and know that He will always be there for you. Learn to love well, laugh often, and enjoy discovering and pursuing your passions! Wishing you a long, healthy & happy life full of wonder, excitement & many precious memories.

Jonathan, know that crappy situations don’t last forever. Family can be tricky, but as an old therapist of mine used to say, “just because someone has the same DNA, it does not mean you need to allow them to treat you badly!” You would not allow a friend to repeatedly behave mean or disrespectful and have them as a friend, so why allow family to do the same? Honor yourself and draw a line. When you start to understand who you are, which is a spiritual being having a human experience, you start to own your shit, the good and the bad. Come from a place of love, but that does not mean become a doormat. As you learn and read and ask for guidance there will be all kinds of people and synchronicities that happen. Knock and the door will open..... it is amazing when you practice appreciation/gratitude, you come from a different mind set and things will change. As you grow and expand people have to come along for the ride or they will fall by the wayside. Have faith my friend and listen to Colette’s wise words. Connect with Nature. She is healing. Much love. All will be well! 😘👌🏻

sounds to me like you've been there ? ( we chose to be here ) the bit i find perplexing is, why aren't we supposed to remember, ? yeah ok a clean slate, but, to my mind, it would be better, if we knew, what we were supposed to learn, or achieve this time around ?, i know, that where im at now, is where ime supposed to be, but a guide book would be handy, we have children, but, they dont come with a guide book either, so yes, we do make mistakes, and thats not good for the children, but we, have to learn as we go, and no two children are the same, apologies if you have no clue what ime talking about, i just felt, that i had to write it
