Not too far behind you but Im black American and was forbade from dating as a teen. It didn’t help that i had very very low self esteem and confidence as a child. When i went to college I was completely lost in dating and it was a very rocky time in learning what I should’ve learned as a child and also building up my confidence from scratch. I went through 2 tumultuous relationships that both last 2-3 years. I went on a 4 year break to really find myself. Now I’m 31 and healed and finally ready to be in a serious relationship again and I feel like I’ve missed my mark. 31 no kids, no relationship, my career is the only thing i have to take pride in.

Just curious, do you think dating as a teen would have helped your self-esteem and confidence?
@zariayong
@zariayong Жыл бұрын
@sbusisiweshaba1715 Sure ill try but stand to be corrected. It may or may not have. Dating a narcissist at any age for example can reduce your self confidence to Zero and this can happen to even the most confident person in the room. The goal In my opinion should be to get to know self, have self love and self confidence prior to dating such that we are able to tell which date will potentially contribute to growing our confidence vs running it down. At any age you can only make a decision based on the info you have and you may be lied to, pick wrong, have a heartbreak but then learn a lesson or 2. Flip side you can meet people who bring out the best in you and even teach you to value yourself more and keep up with your standards. That said we want o have high self-esteem, self love, and a healthy self while dating in order to be a healthy partner in the relationship too, not go in looking for someone to fix/ complete us. Hope I made sense. 🙏

ngl all i want is to get out of my family and move in to someone else’s house. don’t worry tho they’re someone i can trust. got no money, no job, don’t even know how to drive. but i know that moving out is the next step to having the rest. i know it, i’m sick of my toxic family, and i know i am better off without them. no matter how much it hurts. more than what has been advocated in this video (which is important i will not deny that) you gotta get rid of the old skins, get rid of the ones who don’t align. even if it’s family. let’s hope i make it out. and soon 🤞🏼

African parents not wanting 15, 16, 17, 18 to date is actually a good thing, protected me from bad choices. Dating after 18 or later is better, cause you are more mature and better at decision making. Guys below 18 are kids themselves and mostly not looking for anything serious, same goes for alot of men in their early 20s. So in my opinion i support African parents trying to protect their children, but i don't support pressuring people into marriage and my parents never pressured me, I thank God for wonderful parents.
@zariayong

Im in my 30s now single mom although my child is a bit bigger now it's hard. Everybody says just find a good men now and I had some options with good men I just didint love them felt nothing for them. Now I sort of feel a bit stuck in my life but hopefully this will change soon 🙏

Hi @tinalove7860. Thank you for clicking on the video and leaving your feedback. You mentioned the point of finding a good man but not being in love with them and that is a great point. I am glad you won't settle for what your heart does not desire however, I don't want you to think you are "stuck". Trust me each new day comes with its own miracles. Remain hopeful. I personally just leave it to my God because what really can we control in life? He makes everything beautiful in his own time. That is what keeps me going. I hope you get the change you desire in your heart sooner than you expect. hugs!

Have you every truly study scripture???? Have you known of an Eunuch? Yahuah design every person as they own individual. Every person do as they please. Even eating something which had life, The Most High Yah requires dem life with overstanding 1 shall not kill any way.... so, Why not study A Eunuch? Yahusha, son of Mariam, son of Yah, He spoke to the people saying people may and may not accept themselves as whom they are.... so why not just embrace the imagine Yah created You and just keep clean for Heaven's sake... so many people today suffering because they know not the Word. Yahuah is the Almighty and You are probably set apart. You are probably set in positioning for a spe ial purpose. You are not truly losing. I know having family etc is nice however, people do not entirely overstand spiritually the original context. In fact, the seed of man is corrupt . Hence why Yah send His son Yahusha to be perfect. So, what are you missing? When He said to be fruitful..... that is misinterpret of having babies....however, does anyone in dem conscious MIND see that we as a people are to be the Fruit , spiritually..... We as a people are to multiply in love joy peace self control..... Does any 1 Inna conscious MIND think, for ooonnee steady minute, lusting for sex is NOT a command of Yahuah... in fact We as a people never knew what was of Good and Bad till We fornicated with Satan in the garden to exposing us spiritually as Naked.... There are lessons to be learnt. May Yahuah deliver your mind and place you in the right heat for a good growth.

Respectfully, this is the worst advice ever. I was OUTSIDE at 16 and all the people who was outside after 9/10 pm when they were 16 went through traumatizing stuff. You messed up when u didn’t prioritize making a family. All of your efforts should have went towards that in my honest opinion. U should’ve chosen a career to work hard to build for a family….: bc as a woman a family IS priority. Everything else revolves around that. The job, the trips, the fun, the passions … ALL are still possible with a GOOD partner.
