ADVICES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE. The Kingfisher Got What He Wanted.
Life's lessons can sometimes be taught by wildlife as in this video.
On March 8, 2019, at around 8 am, I saw this male white-throated kingfisher perched for some time on the tree branch in Lentor Estate. He perched on other branches of trees for the past few days, waiting patiently and making calls "ki-ki-ki!".
Earlier, he was on a lower branch and I could see him clearly. Then he went high up the tree. The female kingfisher accepted him to start a family. That was what he wanted as a young kingfisher.
What was he doing so patiently?
After around 7 days of meeting him early in the morning and videoing him, I got my answer. The other flighty kingfisher was a female who was assessing him as to whether he was fit to be her mate.
She accepted him (another video) one morning later. In conclusion, the young kingfisher achieved what he wanted.
LESSONS LEARNT:
1. Be aware of the environment of competitors and other factors.
2. Be healthy (so as to be fit for the event that you want).
3. Be prepared.
4. Be available (to grasp the opportunity)
This video is my first attempt at Capcut. It has rough edges, e.g. subtitles with incorrect text. It takes over one hour to create it. If I edit it, it will take much time. Please accept my apologies for the imperfections.
