i still don’t understand about the purify game 😞

I really wish there was more explanation about the purifying the particles puzzle. I'm not one to shy away from a challenge. But there is absolutely no rhyme or reason or even an explanation whatsoever of how those particle frames operate. Without spending money on stars or a hint, this is ridiculously impossible. This is supposed to be a beginner version installment of the game. How are we supposed to know what the circle does. What does a blank half of a tile mean? There's like nothing to even go off of. Completely ridiculous and a money grabber on this part of the game
