Honestly sometimes that's all that you need. Actually a nurse holding my hand like that was what made me decide that I want to work in the medical field. I can't even describe the feelings that you have as a patient, both physically and mentally unwell, when someone just shows you that you are cared about and it's just the greatest encouragement to feel that.

She really said "you got me acting ugly with these people for nothing" the nerve. No ma'am you're choosing to respond that way. She's panicking and you're making it seem like it's her fault that you're being unnecessarily rude. Panic attacks shouldn't be taken lightly you can't talk like that to someone in that state. No wonder she has that built up in her and sadly that happened. I hope she finds someone she can talk to because whoever that lady was to her was not helping the situation.

@@serenanance8263 Right. This was hard to watch. She really blamed her for the way she's acting. It's bad enough that her attitude wasn't helping but it was embarrassing as well. I wouldn't be surprised if she was the reason it triggered more not being able to talk to her, I assume.

It’s not being rude just to be rude. I used to work in mental health and it’s a response from fear. If you’ve ever been around traumatized dogs before you know that some dogs cower and shake in a corner and some dogs bark and try to bite. Auntie almost threw ME into a panic attack. That type of behavior doesn't help anyone, anywhere at any time and doesn't solve a thing. I'm so sorry the young lady's mother died. I was relieved they took her to the hospital if only to remove her from that bedlam and give her what she needed - some soothing words, some words of advice and a hand to hold.

Dan hit the nail on the head. all she needed was someone to hold her hand & help her through the emotions. Mental health gets mistreated in hospitals, some of the things they do just make situations worse. 9x out of 10 all the person needs is someone to listen to them & help them calm down, maybe help them sort out their emotions & on occasion maybe someone needs a little medication to help calm them. Mental health is so poorly handled the vast majority of the time.

I feel for that girl because she clearly lives in a stressful environment on top of losing her mother. The aunt was acting like a lunatic

This is what I love about St Lucie County EMT in Florida. They’re paramedics are VERY nurturing and caring: they give u a pice of mind. Their trainer trained them well!!! Shout out to St Lucie County Fire Rescue and EMT in South Florida!

I Lost my dad in 2012. He had cancer as well. I was in my early 30 when he passed away. I wanna hug this girl. You have a amazing family hun. It's okay to grieve. It's okay to cry. It's okay to get mad. I hope they get her into some grief therapy that really helps. I hope she is doing better

I lost my mom a few years ago so I can understand I was 28 and her cancer came back after many many years and she chose not to fight it after such a tough fight before, it's devastating and crushing at any age it's something that no one should have to deal with. I pray she can find someone to talk to her and help her through it.

My sister passed away 4 years ago when I was 15. Not a day goes by that I dont think of her. The first few months after she passed I had panic attacks almost daily. Even though this episode is a few years old, I hope that she is doing much better now. Anyone else going thought something like this, I hope that you have a good support system.

One time I had a panic attack and the EMT did the same exact thing, he held my hand and it made me feel so much better. I wasn’t able to calm myself down in the hospital and they had to give me medication but the emt holding my hand made me feel so much better.

I had an asthma attack that turned into a Panic attack. The EMT was so sweet to me and that's what made me want to study EMS. The adults are scared and I get that but them being hyped up hurts the little girl more.

To be honest if the aunt were mine I would've had a panic attack! my panic attack triggers go along the lines of this, person being hostile, verbal or physical altercations due past trauma. I feel so bad for the poor girl losing a loved one let alone your own mother is devastating.

I hate that I can understand about her panic attack because I lost my grandma and grandpa in less than 2 weeks to cancer and in my science lesson I HAD to learn about it for GCSEs and I started having an attack and had to leave the room
