I find the 2nd half a little confusing. I think it would help to see it in use in an actual base I guess. Also...does a mod like this on a multiplayer server differentiage between different players' builds? Could 5 players have their own networked storage systems?

Which part is confusing i can do my best to try and explain it or u can swing by the stream and we can try to better help you there. Also the system is all one big system thier are ways to have multiple systems hooked together but thats not what this video goes over, all items are stored in 1 location but are able to be accessed anywhere u have a terminal or can be input into the system anywhere you have lines out to as well.

umm can you give a more specific example? Like do you just want to see how to send things from the Botania farm to the AE2 system? or what exactly are you looking for this way I can cover what is really needed :)

@@rage_u_mad9092 thank you! Just like automation of like the petal apothecary, the rune making, and mana productions, and Terra steel production and such. I understanding living rock production and such. Like for example how would I automate running a Botania gourmaryllis (food plant) automation or the entropinnyum (tnt plant production). Also MANA storage is such a pain and how to store it better with AE2. Or something like The Loonium plant for dungeon loot. Honestly just curious what I could learn from you.

@@kingslushie1018 if I'm being honest iv not done a lot with Botania but I understand the basic's of automating things I have some ideas of things that's possible to do but overall not really something I can make a video on sorry :( you could swing by a stream if you are around the time I normally stream (midnight Central US time) ttv/rage_u_mad this way I can explain what I'm thinking and what not so I can better answer more questions for you I would love to be able to make a video on it but unfortunately without suspending months testing and messing with it I wouldn't be able to give a good informative video if even possible.

Hi! Do you have any idea how to store armors and tools more efficient? From farms i have a lot and one armor fill one cell slot, and the cell dont have enough slots. Thanks for the video!

@martear So, the issue you will run into is that each Weapon, Armour, Tool, and things with durability they will take up 1 slot per different durability. So if you are running a spawner that drops these items either setup a trash can to trash anything that is not being sent to storage or if you want the items, filter just the ones with the specific durability you want to keep and trash the rest, and if any item is automated and ME storage space is a problem connect a drawer system to handle all bulk items. The drawer system can be increased to large quantities and setup to void anything past the max capacity and each item with durability will use a different drawer so it you have bows coming into the system and you have 1 durability setup it will only need 1 drawer. You can have separate systems but connecting them is a completely different setup but you can setup the automation system to output into a chest then have that chest input into the storage system it shouldn't be to hard to accomplish

Hello, Im sorry you are having issues with the setup. From what you have described it sounds like a channel issue but without being about to see the setup you currently are using I wouldn't be able to directly tell you where you went wrong. If you made the 3x3 box, then put a cable going upwards then at the end of that cable you put another controller block this might be the issue you're running into. If this is the issue instead of using a controlee block you p2p tunnels instead off the cable going upwards or make a larger brain, then a 3x3. this depends on what mods you have but something like an enderchest in one location linked to an enderchest attached to the ME system is the easiest way. If u watch my how to connect the ME system video it talks about using enderchest.

This should work with all versions of the mod unless they remove functions from some items.

maybe silly question, but in the average "run with friends" in an average modpack that contains AE2 would you need that much storage space or number of channels?

it depends on a few things like if you want auto crafters or not if you do want auto crafters then yes this would be a great setup if no auto crafters you can make do with probably a 3x3x1 main factor here is how much storage and auto farmers/mats you want to hold at any given time and if you have some kind of drawer system setup for over flow/removing excess items and what not.

any power source will work from my understanding because you use the Energy acceptor which converts energy from other mods into the correct energy for the ME system.

this is so helpful instead of reading reddit tutorial, but i still have one question, so inside the 3 by 3 me controller is supposed to be empty or do you put something in there?

if u fill in the 3x3 the middle will be inactive and un-usable so you can either put a large cable which will only let you use 32 channels of the available 128 or you can put p2p channel interfaces on each of the center faces and use a normal covered/smart cable which lets you use 8 channels and since p2p tunnel interfaces only use 1 channel each you will uses 4 channels with that cable allowing you to run in to were ever you would like and using p2p tunnel interface on the output side which will put you to 8 channels total but each tunnel will give you 32 channels at each output location.

This was done on FTB Infinity Evolved 1.7 but this should work with just about any version after or around the same versions as long as the items are still present.
