These kind of tests are extremely useful for first time users who are not yet hung up on brands. it does not take anything from the solid build of the Texans with its unshakable reliability, but if all you want is power on a modest budget, you cant beat the AEAs

I've had the challenger .457 for about 6 months now. Beside the weight it's a monster I love it.

Man I love the Challenger line, I have all of them except for the .50 and have been nothing but impressed with all of them, they are built like a tank and just keep shooting no matter what. I have over 10k rounds through my .357 with ZERO issues whatsoever. And will group 1 1/2" or better at 100yds.

I love AEA. I own several. if this world would just hold together a little longer, I will get several more.

You know, even if the AEA had slightly less power than the Texan, I'd prefer to have multiple rounds in a magazine, instead of a single-shot.

Now I wish we could have someone with a Condo and a Gunpower Shadow do a head to head. They also look very similar but they are worlds apart on price

While the power is impressive , it the accuracy that counts 😉👍

Your right, the Texan just won't shoot accurately with those short 220 grain bullets, it has a temperamental rifling twist rate that only works for the 400grain leads and bigger (a hollow point will be longer for the same grain weight as a solid bullet so they may stabilize with a 350grain lead), and leaves the light bullets flying with a poor spin!
@BigBoreAirgun2 жыл бұрын
Not to mention the Texan valve locks with the light bullets especially in cold temperatures so its completely unreliable as a hunting gun during the cold season, it has failed to fire on me at least a half dozen times in a hunting situation with that 220 grain bullet and really anything under that 340grain slug I shoot is to unreliable to take out in the feild unless you drop the pressure from 3,600psi with the carbon fiber tank and the metal tank to 2,700 or so psi! Were I live unless your shooting only massive bullets that go really slow, your going to need to reduce the pressure or you will have valve locks!

The accuracy for the bullpup is probably one of the best from aea. I've seen a guy shoot cards with it from about 50 yards. The cards were placed sideways so they split in half. The accuracy is really dead on perfect

Would a red dot sight with a magnifier work on this rifle? It seems that the picatinny rail doesn’t come back far enough to bring the magnifier to within 2-3 inches of your eye, which magnifiers generally need.

My Hatsan .25 had that ping until I put in a Huma regulator. Is there a regulator for this gun?

Long barrels??? AEA and Airforce??

I wish you had shown accuracy as well. If you get more shots, but the accuracy is not there, then what have you gained? Also, you did not compare with the texan lss model. I think the silenced texan is extremely quiet.

The AEA .58cal Zeus will make the Airforce Texan look like it was made in "New York City"!
@blowme97923 жыл бұрын
AEA makes a way better gun than airforce does, I own both my self and the Challenger is by far a better built and more powerful gun. The texan is a cheaply built iver priced piece of junk.

I love my challenger .457. but surprised the texan boys haven't blew up this comment section 🤣🤣

What are they going to say? We make a cheaper built, weaker, less powerful gun for twice the price, and still claim on our site to make the most powerful production air rifles? For less than the price of a .457cal carbon fiber tank Texan, you can buy a Zeus .72 and have TWICE the foot pounds of energy!
