I bought one two weeks ago and finally shot it today . I bore sighted the gun and scope using a laser bore sighter. I shot eight rounds and never had to touch the scope. I got a 3/4”-1” group at 25 yards and group hitting two inches high which should be perfect for a fifty yard shot . I’m impressed. I added a big bore moderator- Emperor.357 to make it neighborhood friendly. Once my air compressor comes in I plan on putting more lead down range .

Another great video, thank you 🤠. It would be useful to know what kind of impact power does the HP MAX .35 cal has at 100 yards compared to the .30 cal. Because it is said that the .30 cal sustains its velocity better at that distance because its significant higher velocity and less weight, which could illustrate our view of what caliber is more effective at 100 yds with that gun. 👍

That was my dilemma when I was in the market for one. You can get this one, or you can get the semi auto. The semi auto model has less power, since you're using part of the air pressure to operate the bolt. So it becomes a tough decision between full power or semi auto action. I chose the semi auto for my purposes and I think I made the right decision, it still has plenty of power. I'm now looking to buy a bolt action, but with a longer barrel to use for distance, haven't decided on caliber though.

Basically the hpss series is semi auto …I have the 30 cal hpss plus which is semi auto “ pistol” with two extra inches on the barrel and a slightly larger tank…I also got the carbine in 30 and the carbine is about 65 fp while the pistol is 55 fp… that’s significantly weaker …I know that the semi autos are easily converted to bolt action with some tinkering but I don’t know if that would increase power definetly worth asking them ..anyway I recently picked up the ho max in 35 and I’m way more impressed by the power features than the semi auto with these aea guns although i may have a different opinion if I were to try the s45 or terminator out

I know someone who has a .32 acp shooting 78 grain and barely gets a chronograph reading that tops that. Granted it's a under 2" barrel but so what. It's a hell of a lot louder. And we'll alot less accurate. That just goes without saying though. My point is that's a very cool air rifle. It'll put meat on a table and at a less expensive shot. I would be curious to see how much more speed and effective grouping it would be with 60, 65 and 70 grain pellets if they are available.

If you pull your bolt back and forward not engaging it to fully chamber a round pulling trigger it de cocks the gun an does so without even the air coming out of it. So basically if your starting from a point where it's loaded an ready to fire pull back bolt like halfway push forward but not all the way pull trigger it dry fires without air release and is de cocked....
