I hand pump this gun to redline and I’m 76 years young. Trick is I shoot 30 pellets before topping it off again. Great gun in .22 using Crosman 14.3 grain pellets. Dine size at over 50 yards- helps to have a 10-40 power scope with my old eyes . Fill the stock with Electricians pipe sealer ( one pound ) - silences sound and adds weight to better balance the gun. Maxed out it’s a sledge hammer.

That's good to know. I was concerned about hand pumping the Avenger. I was leaning more toward the Umarex Origin since it takes about half the pumps and can be shot after just 13 pumps. I've been hearing the Avenger is a much better gun though. How many pumps does it take you to fill the Avenger? What hand pump are you using?

Edward Matt you will regret that. I have the Liberty’s and a Gauntlet. Not only are the Liberty’s more accurate but they are much lighter and way more powerful not to mention easier to tune. The Gauntlet is still a fine fun but bolt action versus a much faster and smoother side lever is a game changer if you hunt and need a follow up shot for sure. 7-20 eta if you ordered in June. If you ordered in July they will be here later. They show this on the PYA web site when you lookup the Avenger.

Always extremely informative, not only is the info you provide pertinent to the gun you are reviewing, it pertains to most airguns with similar features. Even if you're not in the market for the gun being reviewed airgunners should still watch because they'll learn something about the guns they already own!

This is THE most complete demonstration on how to tune this pcp, bar none! A copy DVD should be included with every one of these. The Avenger is going to turn the air rifle world on it's .... ear. Anyone who wants one of these is going to have to wait for all the preorders to be filled first. I can see a wait of a few weeks to a few months to get one. I can’t wait till mine gets here. My N V Liberty’s in .177 and .22 are amazingly smooth, and very accurate. My Avenger is in .25 which will complete my N V collection . I always wanted a .25 Liberty but they have never been available here in the USA. I have one with synthetic stock that appears to be the same, and has held up to serous hunting in cold and hot weather here in Pa. The .177 has given me some trouble with flipping pellets as the probe is coming out of the magazine and creating a double loading situation if not careful. A drop of silicone oil on the probes probes O-rigs has helped stop this issue and using 10.4 grain pellets v/s 7.4 grain definitely helped as well. Thank you for contacting Tyler and confirming the .22 and .25 are ported a touch differently. Can’t stop watching this video over and over. PYA said mine will be here around 7-20. Thanks again. Can’t wait for the main review on AEAC! God bless

Ordered mine in .25 a few weeks ago to go with my Nova Vista Liberty’s in .177 and .22. I have always wanted a Liberty in .25. Sadly they were never available in the USA and I tried every route to get one from other countries, so, this is about as close as I’m going to get. Nova Vista makes this gun for Air Venturi. I have no doubt about that. Of all my air guns, even my high end air guns. The liberties are my favorite. The only reason they don’t ride around in the truck with me like my SK-19, is because of their length. I hope they make a Bullpup someday. I would rather have a 300$ truck gun than a 2K$ truck gun👍. Thanks for your hard work.

Great extensive review with a lot of tips. Thanks. I’m a little concerned to where the air gun market is going with the advent of the slugs. With their - relatively - high B.C., they go 3 to 5 times further than diabolo-shaped pellets. One of the great thing about pellets is that they bleed energy very fast and the risk of hitting something if it goes through the animal or, God forbid, I miss, I know they will be on the ground in a very short distance. With the slug, we are now in the realm of .22LR bullets and everyone knows (or should) that they can go a looong way out. It might be great for target shooting but I’m not sure I want to go hunting with them at the long range they afford. The Avenger low price is going to attract people for they first air gun, or even first gun, and they might not realize how far a slug can go. All that being said, I’m trying to find a reason NOT to buy one...

Great vid, Steve! Very in depth. Just a bit of correction to help your upcoming RDW vid....the upper scope rail is metal and mounted to metal. It's a small detail, but probably of importance to quite a few potential users. I personally wouldn't trust a scope mounted on a plastic rail to hold zero very long. -Donnie

We pre ordered 2 x .22s and 2x .25s 3 weeks ago. We shot a sample and was HIGHLY HIGHLY impressed with that .22. This gun was giving my .22 Impact 700mm slug liner gun a run for its money at a 100y after we did some tuning.at the 100y indoor range we was time after time putting ten Griffin .217 25g cup base slugs under 1.2 minute... 5 shot groups was easily under a minute (more around .7 to .8 moa) it also shot 27.5g .218 NSAs really really well but not as good as the Griffins. Now no it can't compete with our high end guns realistically but with The two listed slugs it was damn close (there's more then just accuracy in owning high end guns). With some time with the gun (we had two days with it) and really getting it dialed with the Griffin slug and i believe consistent minute or better ten shot groups would be doable (to give an idea my RAW HMX LRT .22 pushing .218 27.5 NSAs at 990fps at the indoor range will consistently print 10 around .8 to .9 minute) it's simply the 1 or 2 flyers that it would throw that was causing 1.2 to 1.5 moa with most being right around 1.25moa. 5 shot groups was consistently well under 1 moa and the reason is the Flyers would normally happen around shot 7 thru 10 and out of all the 10 shot groups we shot it would throw one or two flyers and very seldom was a flyer threw within the first 5. We was single loading so it wasn't a mag issue and we was waiting at least 10 seconds between shots so it wasn't a reg issue and we used our Lab Radar (was checking 2 FX chronys against each other and the lab radar.. The FX chrony are dial.. Super accurate btw..) On every single shot and the flyers wasn't happening during odd velocity fluctuations so it was not that... I believe a light lapping of the barrel and having a proper crown cut would end the flyers. This ONLY happened with slugs, we dialed back 18.13s to 880 and they shot extremely well at 50 and we had no flyer issues. 25.39s at 840 was on point as well and even did well at a 100.. This gun is fantastic and it's not reviewers just hyping a product. It's a superb 300 dollar gun and will bring a lot of people in to our sport because when they get it they are getting a gun that js capable of preforming extremely well digging the hook of PCPs in deeper. The trigger is very good but it is NOT in any way a match trigger so do not expect it to be but it is simply an amazing trigger for it being 300 dollars. With Steve calling it match grade that tells me there are some that are better then others... Now that is not saying it's bad in anyway it's not.. It is a fantastic trigger period but it is not a trigger like my Crowns or RAWs. Some may be match quality and the one we shot was just a very good trigger that i can't speak on. Plain and simple this gun can not be touched at its price. Not even close... The really awesome part is that the twist rate is allowing slugs to preform well... From what we got to do we know this gun is capable of really throwing slugs and putting lead on target at really ling ranges with high B.C slugs. We did take the gun to 200y but the wind was up and we didnt have anymore time with it to wait for less wind and it was variable wind.. We was shooting at 8 inch plates at 200 and was connecting plenty but we know for a fact this gun will shoot under 4 minute at 200y (8 inch target at 200 is a 4 moa target) we could tell that the slugs was staying stable out to 200 so the twist rate will keep even longer slugs stable if your really slinging them fast. What im really hoping is the gun is capable of 3 minute groups at 200 and i believe that it is with the right slug and im taking with just tuning 3 moa at 200. If that is the case with some barrel work, really getting the power dialed to what the gun and slug want this could be a 300 dollar gun capable of doing what todays top tier guns are capable of... I can not wait until ours get here and hubby and I get to go to work dialing these bad boys in and seeing what can really be extracted from them.... Whats really funny is im more excited to get these then i am when a new FX or RAW is on the way to me... The reason? Because i know what those guns will do and how capable they are... I dont know what these guns can do and how capable they can be. Its gonna be so much fun and im pretty sure these will be what have our attention and all our other stuff will not be shoot for a while lol.

The fact that you know what your talking about and express it well is satisfying to me and doesn’t make me feel like such a shooting nerd. Thanks for that. I bought this gun in .25 to complete my Nova Vista Liberty collection. I recently bought a .177 and am having issues with the magazine flipping pellets as I work the side lever action and the gun is trying to double load. This has never happens with the .22 cal...ever! If you have any ideas on how to fix this...please enlighten me. I have several mags for this and all of them do it. I put some silicon on the probe seals and it seemed to help. Please...any advise will be valuable. I plan on gifting this gun to my grand children. The next generation of air gunners.👍💯 Thank you and God bless.

Steve thanks for another great video ... I have the Avenger .25, and I can get well over 900fps with 25.39 jsb...its currently tuned to 880fps at about 2200 psi reg , hammer spring all the way in...,now on the last turn out adjusting the hammer spring the gun dropped about 6 fps to that 880 fps accuracy is very good half inch or less and many hole threw hole shots at 50 yards .... from what I know from Ted talking to the Air Venturi rep the .25 internals are in fact different specked , and are set up exclusively for .25 the transfer port is opened up more in .25 compared to .22 to the correct percentage for .25 since tranfer port size is based on percentage of a given caliber if you are doing it correctly ... its really not a 1 size fits all when it comes to transfer ports if you want it right ... I dont know about the hammer spring -if it is different .... I do have a .22 Avenger ordered so this video with all of your info 0n the .22 will help me set up the tune ... I think the PRO tune ,and power tune you made are what I am interested in settig my gun up with .... GREAT WORK as always Steve thanks for all the testing you do , and I will post up here new info I get from testing more with the .25 Avenger I have ..... its just so amazing this gun just nails the check list for the best features you could have on a air gun ,and does it for 300 bucks ! ! ! pretty cool ! the Avenger has to be PCP gun of the year ! industry game changer !

Totally enjoyed the video. It was VERY informative for me. I just purchased an Avenger .22 cal and I (right now) don't even have a way to fill it. I ordered a compressor, because a pump would have me daisy hunting from underground. SOOO in the meantime I'm trying to learn as much as I can about setup, performance and the like BEFORE I actually take the first shot from it. I added a Barrel Band and a Duck Rail Moderator. Hopefully it will have better stability, and it gives me the opportunity to mount things as the barrel band has Picatinny on the sides and bottom. I'm thinking I will just go with the factory setup and see how it performs. I'm looking to give a dirt nap to two VERY destructive groundhogs on my property so I wanna do it right, but not expend a ton of cash I don't have to get it done. Thanks for all the good info.

Ted on Holdover Vlog in his excited style :) contacted Tyler Pratner from PyramidAir to ask about internals and is the .25 using same internals as the .22,apparently not so,the .25 users different valving and other internal parts in the .25 so it can hit the 45 FPE and beyond. Ted was concerned it was what Benjamin did with the Marauder which had the same .22 internals in the .25 which is why it was lacking in the FPE department. So big potential in the .25.

28:38 As a big fan of the Nova Vista rifles, this concerns me. These guns, while often punching well above their price point, seem to have one common issue. That issue being they are known for having leaking issues due to a poppet that is not up to snuff. There are guys in the airgun community who currently make replacement poppets made of delrin and peek that solve the issue, but this may be a task the average consumer may not want to tackle. Hopefully, that's not the case here and it's an isolated incident. Otherwise, Air Venturi/Pyramyd Air are gonna see a boat load of these coming back in for repairs, just like American Tactical has been experiencing. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong because outside of the leaking issues, these guns are fantastic.

Antwuan Maxwell I have 2 start out leaking from the fill probe area. Ball bearing and an o-ringThat said guys/gals that modified their guns for more power had issues with the poppet. It is an easy fix by burnishing said valve. But like you said...not everyone has those skills like us and may be a problem for returns. Good point. .

@@heathhalfhill6867 I've actually sent 3 back to ATI. The first being a .22 caliber Liberty with a wood stock. Fantastic shooter that actually belonged go my cousin. It lasted nearly a full hunting season and developed a slow leak near the end. I actually purchased this particular gun back from ATI as a no warranty/parts gun when we got my cousin's replacement. That gun is currently being tuned by Troy Hammer. I purchased a .22 Liberty with synthetic stock last August. It developed a slow leak within 3 months. I dealt with it until the leak worsened and received a replacement just over a month ago. Well, that replacement leaked right out of the box and was sent back to ATI two days ago. None of these guns had been modified outside of the trigger, which is essentially swapping the placement of two screws. My warranty with ATI will be up next month, so I'll be more apt to tearing into these guns and attempting to repair them myself. I have a peek poppet ready to go and will purchase an O-Ring kit from Captain O-Ring. The good thing about these guns is that they're not overly complicated to tear down, and this coming from someone who isn't the most mechanically inclined. Looks like the guts of the Avenger are slightly different from the Liberty , though, based on a few videos I've seen. It's going to be interesting to see how many parts are interchangeable between the two.

Antwuan Maxwell I totally agree with you. These are not hard guns to work on. Burnishing a poppet isn’t very hard and in fact Hajimoto made a video on the Gauntlet that shows how to do it with a cordless drill, light pressure, and a medium rpm. I did it with a Liberty in .22 that I turned into a slug gun for Stephen’s slugs at Air Velocity Sport. His .216 caliber slugs are so freaking accurate and when you can push them to the right speed are amazing. That man is truly gifted! For the money and what we get, these guns despite their quirks are awesome. As you said...thank God for Captain O-Ring! He is going to construct a seal kit for the Freedom also👍. I bought one for 100$ from ATI. I feel for ATI with these guns but still...they have to be making a ton of money on them. I have ZERO REGRETS for buying my Liberty’s. I now own 4 of them for myself and loners to friends who chose to come hunting or shooting with me that don’t have a PCP. Sharing the love right?

@@kevinfrederick7956 If the gun is leaking from the poppet, which it most likely is, you have two options. Option 1, wait for Air Venturi/Pyramyd Air to get in factory made poppets from the distributor. Starting with the release of the wood stock Avengers, factory made poppets are being made from delrin, instead of whatever leak prone material they used before, which is much more durable than the original gunk they used for sealing. When I contacted Air Venturi a month or so back for one, I was told they were out of stock and didn't expect to have any until December/January due to shipping delays. The part is listed on pyramydair.com as "Seneca Aspen Firing Valve" and only $10. Option 2, contact Duy/darkcharisma at dctunes. He can machine a poppet from a material called peek and mate it with the valve so it's highly unlikely to every leak from there again. This is a $50 service and requires you to mail him your receiver. He worked on my. 177 Liberty and it hasn't leaked since. Debating now if I'm going to wait for factory poppets to become available again or send Duy my leaking .22 Liberty.

Good video. The "crown" is really just to protect the rifling at the muzzle. You can have a "square" crown like the Avenger but you have to be super careful that you never hit the muzzle in any way that will mar the rifling at the end of the barrel. If you leave a moderator on all the time, you have nothing to worry about with a square crown.
@BakerAirguns

That's absolutely right. Crowning = protection....not accuracy. That's assuming of course that the barrel is finished well without a crown. -Donnie
@ryanford736
@ryanford736 4 жыл бұрын
Yes. Almost. Not just the rifling, (although that's the most critical spot at the end of the barrel to protect). The exit should be exactly flush so that gas escapes uniformly around the projectile. I could be wrong about that. I'm not trying to correct, just add. So any nick to the end of the barrel even if it's not on the rifling could affect poi. Hence the crown to help protect it like you said. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about that.
@christianlaesser9224
@christianlaesser9224 4 жыл бұрын
Haha, thank you! I saw this video yesterday and was thinking all evening about cutting off the crown of one of my springers, just to see what that would do to precision. My main thoughts turned around the gas escaping uniformly, like Ryan said, using standard, non-sorted pellets with typically slightly deformed skirts... in these cases ANY crown increases the "gas-impacting-distance", as opposed to a 90° straight cut. I can't test it right now - stuck far from home - but I think I'll try it anyway when home. Chris

@@ryanford736 you're right Ryan. Instead of "rifling, I should have said the lands or the grooves. You don't want any marks or Nick's in the muzzle as that will create problems as the pellet exits the barrel.

When it just goes over the ..nipple?.. and seats itself, it's adjusted right, as I've adjusted with mine with the Seneca Aspen. Info courtesy of Hajimoto's video, who shows how to dis and assemble them. Those magazines are becoming popular on rifles, and are around $20. The rifle is Amazing. About crowning a barrel....crowning serves more of a purpose to protect the exit of the barrel from nicks and dings which will affect your accuracy. Since most of high power airguns have a moderator on the end of the barrel, it's protected against normal handling. I have powder burning guns that I have taken the crown off the barrel, left a flat face on the end of the barrel and improved accuracy of the gun. Done the same to a break barrel air rifle and shrank my groups. Done all of them with a hacksaw, then a file. Squareness of the face in relation to the bore is key. This is easier to do with powder burners when using hand tools as I do, as when you start shooting, after several rounds, a star scorch pattern will start to develop on the face. Touch with a file gently until "star" tips are the same length. Then you know the face is truly squared with the bore. Air rifles do not leave this star pattern. Enough rambling, bottom line, barrels do not need a crown to accurate.

Thought it was my scope going wacky on me, nothing I did with the scope helped. Then checked velocity, was way off. Checked the hammer screw and it was all the way in, backed it out to where I had it. Bang spot on.

Just saw your tuning video after buying an Avenger. Thanks! Really like the Avenger except for the fact it suffers (like others) of regulator creep. Using a pro tune of 1800 psi, it creeps up to 2,200 psi after a few hours. Yes, you can dry fire it a few times to bring it down, but kinda defeats the purpose when your hunting and making noise on the hunt having to dry fire.

Absolutely, a standard pellet is stabilized by "air drag" (think of a badminton birdie) where your slug in more centrifugal force by utilizing the rifling in the barrel. I'm looking at the Air Venturie Avenger Bullpup and im pretty sure the "guts" are the same as your test model. I was thinking between 850-900fps and use a relatively light pellet for 50-100yds. My Avenge-X came out of the box set at 2900 psi regulator and 2.75-3 turns in on the hammer spring. It was blowing apart / disintegrating pellets at 10 meters into a metal pellet trap. I degassed with the target of 1800 psi and 1-1/2 turns in on the HS to start. I missed the psi, 1/4 turn out on the regulator screw was too much and ended up at 2200 psi. I'm 1-1/2 turns in on the HS. That's what my owners manual recommends so not all bad. 2,000-2,400 psi reg / 1-2 turns in Hammer Spring. I don't have a chrono so I'm going to use a piece of 2 x 4 and go by penetration instead. Yes, I'm broke after buying the gun, scope, air compressor etc. PCP takes an investment but once you have everything it's very economical. Benjamin match 22 pellets are printing one hole groups @ 10 meters.

Hi Steve! First of all, thank you for your excellent, excellent! talk and tutorial on the AV Avenger! I am a relatively new air gunner and am still learning...a lot. Thanks to your excellent video(s) I have learned even more, so a huge thanks for that! Anyway, I own an Air Venturi Avenger in .22 like the one in this video. It is my 4th PCP air rifle and is thus by far the best one I have so far. I am a budget buyer so there are no high-end, pricey rifles in my collection. I am seriously contemplating either the Avenger in .177 cal or the Benjamin Marauder Semi-automatic in .22 cal...again, due to recently watching you very thorough video on it :) I am using ultra cheap pellets. I shoot the Crosman Premier Hollow Points 14.3gr. I consistently shoot groups smaller than a dime at 25yds. I do realize that at 25 yds, it's not uncommon for most rifles to group smaller than a dime, but none of my other rifles seem to be capable of that...the AEA HP SS seems like it's definitely capable, but due to it's unreliability in the time that I have owned it, I can't prove that yet. So...anyway, I have tuned my Avenger down to roughly 1400 psi on the regulator. De-gassed the rifle, turned the reg screw all the way in and then backed it out about 1/4 turn...equated to about 1400psi on my Avenger's regulator. I then backed the hammer spring screw all the way out (roughly 6 turns for the entire range after turning it in all the way and then back out all the way) I then turned it in about 1 1/2 turns. I'm thinking I should be pretty close to your 'Eco tune' and should expect roughly 100 +/- consistent shots. I am shooting Crosman Premier Hollow Point 14.3 gr, unwashed and unsorted. I typically group within a dime at 25 yds. It's pretty consistent but of course, not always. I am only getting around 70-80 consistent shots...is this ok? or do you think there might be an issue with my rifle...faulty regulator? Maybe an unbalanced ratio between regulator setting and hammer spring? I am a noob when it comes to those adjustments so I could very well have something screwed up. btw...I shoot 25 yds indoors in my basement so wind is never a factor. I have a pretty decent pellet trap/target setup using duct seal putty so there are none or very few instances of lead shrapnel from the pellets impacting the rear of metal pellet traps...only the occasional lead on lead impacts that occur deep within the putty.

It's hard for me to say how efficient your current tune is. A lot goes into that. I'd recommend watching my late tuning guides on the Crown Continuum, Maverick, Dreamline, and PJ Clark Airgun Tuning interview. There's is much to be learned in them that can be applied to your Avenger tune and will help you determine the condition of your current tune. Best, Steve

@@AEAC Thanks Steve. I appreciate your feedback and I will check out those tuning guides you mentioned. I definitely need a better understanding of the relationship between the regulator and the hammer spring so I can fine tune it for better results. BTW...my Avenger's regulator increases pressure after sitting for a few hours therefore the first regulated shot ends up being about 200 psi +/- higher than what it's set at. I'm hoping this is normal behavior for a regulator or the Avenger's regulator anyway. I have since set my regulator back up to 1800-1900 psi with the hammer spring one full turn in from all the way out. Cheers and thanks!

@@shikotah That's called "regulator creep" and is common in a lot of guns, including the Avenger. The Avenger Pul I'm working on now, increases about 175 psi overnight. It's not problematic unless it wildly changes the velocity of your first shot after sitting. On the vids, yes... watching them will fix your understanding of the relationship between HS and reg pressure. Steve

I’ve had mine for 2 years now and the only problem I had with the initial setup was the gun didn’t like a full air fill with the factory barrel band setup. I had different poi after every fill and it drove me crazy. An airgun forum suggested aftermarket bands and not to fill to capacity. I went with black arts bands and only fill to about 3800-3700 and the gun has remained a tack driver. My only current complaint is a slow leak that the gun came with has progressed. A full fill will lose about 300psi a day.

I just discovered a very interesting relationship between your Eco, Pro and Power tunes! If you make an X-Y graph, with the Y for Regulator Pressure, and X for number of turns of the hammer spring screw, the numbers (X,Y) (1.5, 1400) (2.75, 1800) (5.5, 2700) make a nice linear graph! It has the form of Y(Regulator Pressure)=912.5 + 325×(Number of hammer springs screw turns) Using this equation, one can input Number of turns to find required Regulator Pressure, or wanted number of turns =(Regulator Pressure - 912.5)/325 By matching the weight of the pellets to the new tunes as you have done - 15gr for low. 18gr for mid range, and 21gr or thereabouts, the velocities should stay in the ideal 850ish range.

Yes. If one charted reg pressure, it would be flat... perfectly flat, as reg pressure would stay consistent until it fell below the bottle pressure? Why chart a known fixed variable?
@vietlam2362
@vietlam2362 3 жыл бұрын
@@AEAC Sure Steve, my point is there is a linear relationship between the hammer spring turns and the regulator pressure within the range of your tunes. So let's say I want a different tune wirh the regulator at 2345psi, the required number of turns is (2345-912.5)/325 = 4.4 turns so that a pellet in the range of 18 -21gr will stay in the ideal 800 - 900 fps window, useful estimation for airgunners who want to experiment but don't have a chrony.
@AEAC
@AEAC 3 жыл бұрын
@@vietlam2362 I wouldn't trust that buddy. Airguns are weird and there are lots of variables. One needs a chrony. On a budget, I recommend the FX Pocket Chrony or Pro Chrono Digital 👍 Steve

I want to further compliment you on your thoroughness and skill in evaluating guns. My Avenger .22 has arrived so I reviewed very carefully your and others' write-ups/videos. Yours are the most sophisticated, e.g., finding the best regulator and HS settings to achieve 850-880 FPS and accuracy for 3 power levels. And your pellet assessments go way beyond any other reviewer's, particularly in the breadth of pellets tried and shot distances. My only problem is that (because I don't subscribe to Instagram or Facebook for privacy reasons) I can't track down the even-deeper-details of your shot strings than what you show in your videos. I've got all the notes from those, but could you post the details on GTA or as an attachment on your site for some of use to access them? Thanks very much. You've helped me get comfortable that I've made the best choice of gun to try out FT and benchrest, as well as to humanely take out iguana in our SW Florida area.

Hey Steve love your reviews... I need to ask is the Air Venturi Avenger and Umarex Origin are they the same air rifle ? if not what is the difference? Best regards...
@aeacvlog2033
@aeacvlog2033 4 жыл бұрын
From what I can see on line, it seems the same manufacturer makes both but the Umarex lacks a regulator... and an externally adjustable one at that. I don't see anything in the manufacturer literature about an externally adjustable hammer spring either. These 2 features alone really distinguish the Avenger. I'm only going by what I can read on line of course. What does your research tell u?
@vietlam2362
@vietlam2362 3 жыл бұрын
I own both, the 2 are very similar in that they seem to use the same cocking lever, upper breech block with that dovetail/pitcatinny combo rail (black anodized aluminum, not polymer, with polymer cover) and pellet probe assembly, possibly even the barrel. The Origin does have external adjustable hammer spring exactly like on the Avenger, with total of 5.5 turns or thereabouts. The differences are the Origin only has the filled Pressure gage, no Regulator gage or adjustable, number of air tubes and the valving internals to work with them. The Origin has a single 140cc tube at 3625psi -250Bars max, while the Avenger has 2, 1 under the barrel and anothershort one inside the forestock, for a total of 180cc, rated for 300Bars-4351psi. Hope it helps.
