I was blown away by the warmth and comfort of the this thing.
Here's: a link to their aliexpress store:
www.aliexpress...
I don't get any kickbacks or financial gain from sales of this product. While Aegismax did send me this product free of cost, I believe they are a company that is producing quality products at a very low cost with customer service that greatly exceeds my experience with expensive, American brands.

Just ordered this as part of my ultralight 3 season system for the UK (maybe even winter use with a heavy liner). Thanks for the review.

Could you demo/talk about how it straps/attaches to a sleeping pad?
@eastbynorthwestoutdoors
@eastbynorthwestoutdoors Жыл бұрын
So because mine was an early demo it did not come with straps. Typically there are some loops/connection points on the side where you attach the straps and wrap them around your pad. Personally, I looked into rigging something up with some elastic cord but after a couple nights sleeping with the quilt I realized rolling out of it was a no issue for me.

i wish they had one for 0ºF comfort rating. I camp in cold weather all the time and we hit sub zero a lot. Would rather not have to run a bag liner to go with this. But I have to credit Chinese bag manufacturers for the three temp rating system they use. Extreme - probably won't die and also won't sleep Transition Temperature - Cold sleep, but you'll sleep Comfort Temperature - Probably going to be toasty And for the most part, the 9º difference between Comfort and Transition seems right between cold and hot sleepers, and the 28º difference between transition and Extreme is about right too. You get a typical bag from Big Agnes, Marmot, MSR, NEMO, North Face, Therm-a-rest, etc, it's all bullsh*t ratings. Can't tell who they're for and how well they're going to be. They expect people to buy a bunch of bags to find one that works for them, and then after a 12 months they change the designs again and the temp ratings are far off from what their intended purpose is. But yeah, AEGISMAX just needs to add some more goosedown to the Wind Hard and bring us down to 0ºF.

Thinking about getting this quilt for me and a DUSK bag for my girlfriend.. I've never used a quilt, but i do move a lot while sleeping and i'm a side sleeper, so it seems like a perfect solution for me. Do you still use/like the quilt and do you happen to know anything about the DUSK bags? Thank you

Make sure you have a good pad if you're gonna push it. Remeber they test these things with an R-7 pad wich very few UL backpacker are gonna carry. I use the xtherm which is R-6.9.

@@massimilianoporreca2594 You can alway throw a small foam pad underneath your air pad to get an extra 5C of warm. Every pad is different though, I alway try to test my sleep systems in the back yard so I know how far I can push them on the trail. You will know pretty quickly if your pad isn't warm enough as you will feel the cold comming through. Hope that helps😁

Hey, thanks for your review! As you mentioned your son: So you have any recommendation for a sleeping bag for children?
@loganfishbeard

I got him a used big agnes wolverine. Kids are honestly pretty easy though for sleep situations. Both of mine tend to sleep in little balls so just about anything keeps them warm. Don't get them a fancy UL pad though, they will pop it(ask me how I know). After two years of camping with them, my "kid essentials" list has distilled down to bringing extra clothes for when(not if) they get wet, and packing in the entire snack section of your local grocery store. They always amaze me at how well they thrive in the woods.

lol, that would be a short video. Fleece bag liners are all about the same(oz vs.oz). I dont rely on them to give me any extra warmth but they are clutch in the dog days of summer when you just want to sleep in your birthday suit but still contain your "hiker stink" to something you can throw in the wash with the rest of clothes.

I don't get this product, lets make a quilt that doesnt have the advantage of a quilt (using as a blanket) but also doesn't have the advantage of the sleeping bag that is being covered from all direction, definitely a miss from Aegis max. I have their quilt and it's no way as warm as rated, each time i sleep on it I am cold.

@@julianuspfeuffer2427 I'm 178cm and there's some room, it should be enough for at least 180cm. The 175cm is the fabric size, the usable size is about 170cm. You need to measure from your feet up to your neck. The sizes between bags and quilts are not equivalent because the quilt covers only up to the neck/shoulders.
