I wonder how Sunfire’s injury timeline aligns with Aegon’s own recovery. Did they recover at the same rate bc of their bond? Has that been explored in the text?

No. Aegon's almost completely useless when King's Landing falls but by that point Sunfire is hopping about the mountains. By the time Aegon meets with Sunfire he's healthier than Sunfire because of the injuries Sunfire sustains on his way to Dragonstone, and then after the fight to take Dragonstone Sunfire is dying while Aegon mainly just loses a leg that he refuses to get removed.

I think this a livestream from his other channel - he’s just moving them to this channel, and lives will be here going forward. 🙂

I hope season 2 does Aegon ii justice. Season 1 felt akin to character assassination. His good qualities were buried under murk.

His “good qualities” like what?
@vayne-he9yi11 ай бұрын
@@VMohdude- In the book the reason he ultimately took the throne was to protect his family. He also had a great bond with his dragon (which the show completely neglected by removing his coronation moment and having him try to run away on a ship while abandoning Sunfyre). It was so blatant they were straight up invented multiple excuses to show other dragons so they wouldn't show actual book canon scenes of Sunfyre. They not only adapted the worst possible rumors (even unreliable ones from Mushroom who hadn't been in KL in 10 years), but they added stuff to make him look worse on top of that by having his bastards there. He was a villain in the book but he still had a few good qualities, they removed all of them and focused their attention on making Aemond, a far worse character, seem sympathetic.

@@vayne-he9yi his good qualities were he loved his family and he bonded with his dragon? Qualities every targaryan has.
@pg144810 ай бұрын
@@VMohdude- He was also pretty brave to ride his dragon into battle, to sustain extremely painful and debilitating injuries, he was smart and resourceful when he needed to be like singlehandedly taking over Dragonstone and setting a trap for Rhaenyra or putting the sheperd and his insurgents to justice. Courage, resilience, intelligence and determination, all qualities a leader should have and superior in all to Rhaenyra in any case.

@@VMohdude- what good qualities does book Rhaenyra has? The books were great because both Aegon and Rhaenyra had plenty of flaws that should disqualify them from the throne... Unfortunately the show keep making Rhaenyra a saint while inventing new flaws for Aegon... They also reduced Alicent character from a strong player to 'victim of men'...

Aemond and Cole pushed so hard to attack ended up biting them in ass in the end. Nobody won the war in the end. Aegon II didn't outlive Rhaenyra for long. It was all for nothing.

Literally for nothing. If you think about it, it was really stupid

@indeepgeek does anyone else notice the parallel between the Targaryens & the Davidic Line (whom the messiah is said will come from) the Hebrews’ Magic that required “sacrifices” the succession crises’ between his offspring of different wives (1 Kings, etc) the “Exilarchs” the destruction of Jerusalem & the wandering of Jews. Also their great magic carried in the midst of the wandering camp escaping Egypt “baby dragons” that once fully grown in the Temple in Jerusalem “G-D of the Hebrew Bible is described as nostrils breathing smoke, mouth breathing fire, flying his righteous to victory against the darkness. Sometimes burning entire cities to ash “Sodom & Gemorrah” … & ofc many other things… but hear me out “a magic man should’ve never trifled with” as nobody controls religion, our Rabbis try but it seems to take a life of its own & instead of doing good it has caused massive suffering (crusades). Even suffering on the Hebrews who brought it forth by way of Christian crusades w roots in Judaism but evolved w time & man “controlling it”

Sorry dude tldr next time because I can’t be fucked to care about anything involving the “our greatest ally” crowd and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I see stuff like that and my brain checks out entirely.
