This is crazy and I apologize in advance. Been subbed and listening to your videos, for what feels like years now, while late night gaming. I thought you were a real person but began having doubts when I thought I heard your voice in an unrelated video or ad. So great to confirm you are a person and I haven’t been listening to an AI. You have an amazing voice. Thanks for doing what you do.

I agree that what the showrunners did with Harrenhall was very cool, but I didn't like what they did with Daemon at Harronhall. He is a very strong / strong willed character and they made it seem like Harrenhall was leading him around by the nose.

47:06 - I think I remember reading or listening the reason why Gimli, who wasn’t an elf or a ring-bearer, journey to Valinor and was welcomed to stay until his death. Elves, or maybe it was Legolas in particular, could choose to bring a companion with them to the Undying Lands. So Legolas chose Gimli. Their friendship so deep and filled with love and adventure brought them both to one last adventure.

Regarding "Season of Storms", it was lukewarm recived on Polish market. Personally I think that this book have great moments, but there are some repetitive parts to previous entries in the series. There are other parts that looks like parts of the other series with a guest appearance of Geralt and Witcher's world: for example hunting for demon was like some Warhammer Fantasy adventure and the whole fragment with a vixen more like somthing that I could read in Usagi Yojimbo.

Talking about the Lannisters buying the best presents because of their gold made me think of them trying to get a Valerian Steel sword. And I suddenly thought that if Ice was big enough to make 2 swords, that is a lot of Valerian Steel which would have been hugely expensive. Do we get any hints of how the Starks got Ice?

I'm really hoping we get to see Euron make a ship out of weirwood to complete his assortment of blasphemous magical items. Would feel perfect woth him on a weirwood ship, sipping shade of the evening, clad in Valyrian Steel, summoning Krakens with tortured priests of every faith and mass blood sacrifice

It's the "express train" of Gandalf's fireworks that got me (FotR, right near the beginning at Bilbo's party). I'm afraid that jarred a little, and still does; it feels quite out of place.

The narration around the Smaug firework in A Long-Expected Party compared it to an express train. Perhaps non-diegetic anachronism, in this case?

Regarding building castles in questionable building locations and keep building them when they fail. IRL many things are build in worse locations because the location has other advantages. Chicago was built on a swamp because of access to waterways. They had to reverse the course of a small river to stop living in their own cesspool lol. Venice is an even bigger example with an even worse building situation.
