great video ash i tend to use abit of ubik 2000 at 50/50 ratio on first cleans to give the frames sills and glass a good deep clean . then a good rinse to remove all the chemicals. this tends to work well for me then there up to standard and its a simple maintenance clean regular 👌👍

@aemackintosh

Hi, great job! You mentioned soap and suds when you were rinsing. Did you pre wash the windows with soap first? Thanks
@aemackintosh
@aemackintosh 5 жыл бұрын
Manny Amenta No, I didn’t. But if the windows have been cleaned by the traditional method previously the soap residue can still be present in and around the window. So when you come along with the pure water fed pole method the soap residue gets washed out, especially from around the edges of the frame.😃👍🏼

Hey mate nice videos very detailed, but I've got a question to ask you. You and myself have the waterfed pole set up, but was just wondering how you keep the algae from sticking/breeding inside the pure water tank? Is there a secret. Thanks

I noticed you use pencil Jets alot. Is that your preferred choice? Or do you use them for certain type of jobs. I've started to use Gardiner's 100 degree fan jets. Well impressed especially on maintenance cleans. Not used pencil Jets for about 3 years. Found that I was using more water. Great video tho mate. Hope to catch up at the wcs if ever it gets back up and running
@aemackintosh
@aemackintosh 3 жыл бұрын
I found that I was using more water with fan jets. I had to turn the flow up to get them fanning properly. Now I use the 1.4mm pencil jets and you can really blast the bits out of the edges on quite a low flow rate. But it’s personal preference I suppose.😃👍🏼

Great vid 👍🏻 Quick question - do you ever get customers querying the amount of water you’ve used? I did a first clean the other day (it needed a lot of water like this one in your video) and the customer was upset at all the water left at the property.... It just surprises me that customers still aren’t getting the wfp thing...
@aemackintosh
@aemackintosh 5 жыл бұрын
antonykelly I’m getting mixed reactions. Some people have experience of wfp, others need a little more explanation. I had someone the other day asking about water splashed everywhere. I think you have to be a little sympathetic with the customer (the customer is always right, kind of thing, even when they are not) I have had to explain how wfp works and that I will try and keep the water splashes to a minimum.💦😃👍🏼

A.E.Mackintosh Cleaning Services yeah I think you’re right. I do sometimes feel like I’m fighting a losing battle with some customers though. They look at me like I’m trying to con them or something. A customer this week said she might go back to a traditional window cleaner because she wasn’t happy with spotting on her windows. After a quick inspection it turned out the spotting was on the inside where she’d wiped her windows with a wet cloth. I could tell even after I’d pointed this out that she still thought it was the wfp 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I guess there are just going to be some people who are going to be difficult no matter what you do. I made a little video explanation which I have put on my website and I have typed out a note to give to customers I am changing over to wfp directing them to my website. Hopefully this helps.😃👍🏼

Hi Dave I am thinking of switching to Wfp very soon, especially as there are pure water filling stations nearby me. Just a quick question, if you have baked a n bird poo will the brush and pure water remove it ?
@aemackintosh
@aemackintosh 5 жыл бұрын
Pook Chad Yes, I did a video about this using traditional tools, but the same principle applies for wfp. Soak it and do another window, by the time you come back to the poo it should be easier to get off. If it’s really bad you might want to spray it with a soapy solution. I have a video of this coming up soon.😃👍🏼

Hello Ash, what pole do you recommend? I’ve been using the facelift phantom for a year and want something lighter. Thanks in advance mate!
@aemackintosh
@aemackintosh 2 жыл бұрын
It’s a tough choice. They are all very similar in weight to be honest. I would suggest only using the length you need for the job you are doing. Most domestic work you might only need 18ft or 22ft max to reach over a big conservatory. Then a 30ft will reach third storey, but you don’t want to carry that around all the time if you don’t need to.👍🏼
