Nice little set up Paul 👍 One quick observation, not sure if I've got it right from the video as it's hard to see 100% but it looks like the pump strainer is on the wrong side of the pump?? It should strain the water out from the tank before it goes into the pump. It looks on the video that the water comes from the tank to the pump. Then a strainer before it goes to the hose reel. If that's the case it's definitely worth changing round to stop any crap getting into your pump 👍.
@aemackintosh4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, I’m not sure if it’s just the slightly strange way that his plumbing has been done with the strainer? But I will get him to check.😃👍🏼

Paul’s an absolute diamond, brilliant man and I’m sure he’s going to do very well with his business. A couple of pointers (just my opinion)- There’s no point in changing to a 400 litre tank for all the hassle and effort you may aswell just put two barrels in the back. I’d aim for a 600ltr but it depends on what the van payload is & how much work you want to do throughout the day. Always aim for a bigger tank even if you just need to half fill it. Get yourself a univalve if you haven’t already that’ll save you loads of water. Once you can justify it get an xtreme pole, your body will thank you 🙂 Best of luck bud Matt
@aemackintosh4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, I got him onto the uni-valve straight away. He is doing very well! Works like a Trojan!😃👍🏼
@paulhickmott22714 жыл бұрын
Thanks Matt. I have thought about your point re water van capacity and agree that I will need more than 400 when the time comes to upgrade. Hopefully not to to far in the future. The univalves I have work really well. I shall look into the extreme you mentioned as I am 55 and sometimes do feel a bit fatigued etc.

Ordinary tap water will leave behind a residue when it dries. Dirt will stick to pure water, and if the window is rinsed properly, it will dry without leaving any residue.😉👍🏼

Any van really. But you might want to just check the payload capacity before you buy. It varies from model to model, but the stats are usually easy to find online. Water weighs about 1kg per litre roughly so that should give you an idea. There are lots of starter systems out there that just bolt in. Happy shopping!😃👍🏼

@adrianmaycroft84064 жыл бұрын
So basically if you haven’t got an R/O tank at home , just fill the van mounted tank with water from outside house tap etc and then it will be converted to pure water once it’s gone thru the tank filtration system ?
@paulhickmott22714 жыл бұрын
Yes. But that way you will be needing to spend money on changing the resin more often. Using the RO and tank at home I pre filter the water from 17 parts per million down to 7 or 8 and then the resin gets it down to 0 ppm. (Imunew at this so I think I have explained that correctly. :-))
@aemackintosh4 жыл бұрын
It depends on how hard the water is from your tap. If it is higher than around 100ppm you will need to put the tap water through an RO filter system before it goes into the tank, then it goes through the resin DI canister on the way out of the tank to take it all the way down to 0. If the water from your tap is lower than 100ppm you could get away with putting it straight into your tank and just let the resin DI canister do all the work. So the first step is to get a TDS meter to measure your water hardness. I hope that helps.😃👍🏼
