Can we make a throwback of this year/phase of your garden? Everything is juvenile and it's sooo wonderful to see how much everything has grown, evolved, and been redesigned. I'm sure it's heart-warming to reminisce, every part of the garden has story. And the plants around pond were so cute and young, now they're even more beautiful💕💕

You have a beautiful garden. I started collecting succulents this year. And I love Aeonium. Can I plant directly to the ground? Are you selling succulents? If so, please give me the app.

Hi Laurie thank you for the video s I am fairly new at growing succulents and i grow indoor s as i am unable to get around like i use to so i rely on you tube video s foe my information i am so surprized i had nt seen your video s before now i live in Northern Kentucky zone 6 and received a aeonium as a free gift when i bought another plant i think its a kiwi and now i want more i seen a irish bouqet aeonium and i cant find anything on it do you know of any small aeonium s good for indoors
@pandalover35565 ай бұрын
I found out Aeoniums behave differently and individually. I have experimented with cutting off blooms from different parts with cutting just the blooms and leaving a few leaves on the trunk to see if they come back eventually. Some have died completely and some have actually sprouted some pups.

What do you do when your ponytail palm blooms and you dont like bees? I had this happen to my beautiful palm after it reached 10 feet tall and then when I took off the flowering part on top the plant just never regained its shape,the full upright leaves on top just drooped down. Any suggestions on how to avoid this with another ponytail palm? Is there a way to stop queen palms from doing this aw well or must I just keep cutting off the pods?
@kyanac4288 жыл бұрын
they are beautiful! I purchased a kiwi and the purple one (that hadn't bloomed yet) from a seller on ebay and they are struggling. Didnt look healthy when I got them either 😣

Very insightful Laura. I see there at roses behind your prom aeonium. How do you water that section? Don't roses need more water?
@LauraEubanks8 жыл бұрын
Janine Fourie that's actually bougainvillea. Very drought tolerant!

so, basically you're saying that having aeoniums means taking care of them until they somehow decide to commit suicide? like, you can't do anything to prevent them from blooming and die? even if you detect the bloom spike in its beginning and remove it, the plant has already started its let-itself-die genetic program?

rayzorhead those are repurposed rain gutters. You can buy new ones at any hardwood or box store.

Laura, I purchase a set of succulents from Costco. I believe I have a smaller version of Aeonium Cyclops. I've kept it indoors and now it is spring in the Midwest & noticed my Aeoniums as losing their petals. Do these require a lot of light year round? Is there any hope keeping these alive indoors? Thank you!
@LauraEubanks7 жыл бұрын
Christina Eilers aeoniums are a tough one to grow indoors. Be very careful of rot. They thrive in warm, dry climates and won't tolerate water during their summer dormancy.

How do you propagate an aeonium cyclops ?
@carmenbaroudi43498 жыл бұрын
I saw on other websites you just cut the top off, and then cut the stems into 6 inch pieces? i'm terrified to do that to by beautiful giant aeonium cyclops :/
@LauraEubanks8 жыл бұрын
I recommend leaving your mother plant alone and just removing her pups when she gives you some!
