Great video. I'm kinda torn between this backpack and the Alpaka Elements backpack Pro. Both have similar pricing but Alpaka offers more capacity at 24L vs this bag at 14L. I really want to own at least ONE Aer products as I know it will last me a lifetime.

Nice vid! Was deciding between this and the city pack pro as my EDC for my 2 week trip to Japan. Going with this for the slimmer size

I'd go with the pro for travel. The largest pocket is very small and not ideal if you're planning on picking up souvenirs or grocery shopping during your trip

Any chance you can demonstrate how you packed it? I've been torn about this bag for a while and it might be just a hair small for what I need. My daily gear basically fits into an Evergoods CAP2 + Transit 8L packing cube, plus a water bottle. Would that be too much for this little bag?
@RoamTwo7 ай бұрын
Yeah I could look at doing another video and pack it. But, looking at that cap2 and Transit 8L, I feel like you’re going to struggle getting the Transit in there when it’s packed on both sides and closed. The depth on the Aer City Pack doesn’t expand much at all so you’ll probably have to stuff that packing cube in there. Additionally, I have a similar pouch to the CAP2 (Peak Design Tech Pouch) and I typically find it easier to use the provided “tech” pockets instead of using my pouch. Again this is because it’s lacking depth to put the small bags inside of this bag. Hope that helps.

I wonder if you can fit a pair of sneakers (converse maybe). I've been wanting to buy this backpack for years, since a usually dont carry many things to my job other than lunch box, coffe mug sometimes and couple other accesories. I know its intended to be used as a sleek/ slim commute backpack, but I love if it had more capacity withou looking so bulky. I've watched probably all the review videos on youtube about this backpack, but no one shows how much it can really fit, for example a change of clothes if it's your personal item on a plane.

I’ll make a packing video just for you. Any suggestions on what you want packed in it? As I mentioned I’ve typically used it as a carry on so I could go that route and show you what it’s like with some clothes or shoes packed into it.

Its a good work or tech bag. Very bad as an EDC or all rounder bag Good for work if you have a lot of small accessories plus a laptop and a file folder As a school bag; one large textbook, half inch binder, and a laptop basically fills up majority of the bag. Good for maybe grade school, but not college unless you have all your text books digitally

Does this fit a gaming laptop? Cause I have a 15.6 inch
@RoamTwo6 ай бұрын
It’s rated for up to a 16”, I think it would be okay, the sleeve has a decent amount of room depth wise.

@@RoamTwo What is the difference between the x-pack and the normal version? I also wanna be able to put a blanket inside of it oft when I go on planes. Hope for some more help!
@RoamTwo6 ай бұрын
The x-pac uses a sailcloth material on the outside instead of the ballistic nylon. If you watch my other video on the travel pack, the backpack I show in that video has the x-pac material. As far as putting a blanket inside of this backpack, unless it’s a very small and thin blanket, like the ones you get on planes, it’s going to take up the entire bag. I would again look at the travel pack. It has more space but also has the organization pockets the city pack offers.

@@RoamTwo I need to be able to fit it under the Delta or southwest airline seating. Will the Travel Pack X-pack or normal fit?
@RoamTwo6 ай бұрын
Got it, for that use I believe on delta you need a 17”x13”x9” bag. I don’t have a review on these but check out the City Pack Pro and the Flight Pack from Aer. They are both very close to those dimensions but give you more space inside than the regular City Pack.
