Thanks for another great review, Danny! Several months ago, I was between the Alpaka Elements Pro, the Tortuga Laptop backpack, and the Bellroy Venture Ready Pack 26L. I definitely made the wront decision, and purchased the Alpaka. The fit of the bag is so tight, and I felt like even putting a tech kit and a fall jacket in it was way too much. The bag has a tendency to want to actually collapse in on itself to crush the contents. I purchased around a dozen bags in 2023, and the Alpaka Elements Pro was the biggest disappointment of them all.

Companies definitely are adding up their capacities different. I e had the alpaka pro in x50 for 2 weeks and absolutely love it for my everyday work and weekend tech bag. I do feel it's closer to a 22L size

How do you find the x50 material? I heard it makes the base weight of the bag pretty heavy

Bro What's the difference between VX42 and X50

I own both of these bags, but I prefer using my Aer City Pack 1680D. It feels more comfortable on my back, even though my Elements Pro Backpack VX42 is slightly lighter. Additionally, I appreciate the rugged feel of the City Pack compared to the crinkly sound of the Elements Pro Backpack.

Hi Danny! Can you make an updated work backpack roundup? I’m looking for something more stylish, and a bit less tech-looking. Also I’m perplexed that the most of these companies do a luggage pass through by its side, not in a vertical orientation. It should be upright.

The Alpaka bag misses when it comes to deep pockets that go all the way down. You missed the biggest comparison, though, value!

Hi! Can you review the Nike RPM 26L backpack. I have very limited backpacks available here in my place. The Nike Rpm looks good but I can't find any competent reviews.

Alpaka pro has a much better appearance. And why does Aer use such a dark interior color?
@dannypacks6 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! Aer does have a brighter orange lining on their xpac bags that might be a good option

Nice comparison! Agreed re the capacity - no way is the Alpaka a 26l bag! Evergoods have just released their PLC20 in solution dyed black at usd 149 - to me this is a compelling alternative to the Alpaka or the Aer.

No outside water pocket. Pass. I have the half zip somewhere in my basement. Big disappointment. I learned my lesson with that purchase. AER, ABLE CARRY and ALPHA ONE NINER, you can't go wrong.

Thank you for watching and good call on the PLC20 as well!

Are you planning to do a comparison with the Whitley 2023?
@dannypacks9 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! I might incorporate the Whitley into a few comparison videos throughout the year but don’t have anything specific planned yet

Alpaka's weird ridges on the strap is NOT it. I bought this backpack and returned it mainly because it was mad uncomfortable for me. I know wveryone has different opinions but beware, those straps are not as good as you think they may be.
@4fawksake70722 күн бұрын
I completely agree! Those line ridges were a major turn-off for me too. It's a shame, because the bag itself seems decent
