Great Video! Flew EI-DVK from BHD-LHR on the 4th of June!

Thanks, James! This has got to be the best flight out of Belfast for making connections at LHR.

This was lovely - may I ask where the music was from? Very calming.
@PlanetPatrick2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Natalie. The music I use is from Epidemic Sound... it's a website of music options that can be used on KZbin without causing any rights issues. So it's all from there.

Great review! Man, I miss flying. Just booked a holiday for next summer so 🤞!! Are the people sat beside you travelling with you or was social distancing lacking?
@PlanetPatrick3 жыл бұрын
Yes I hope it’s more normal by next summer too. No, those people were not with me. There is effectively no social distancing once on board. Just compulsory mask wearing.

@@PlanetPatrick thank you for replying! Good to know about what to expect onboard but again, hopefully we’ll be back to normal by the time I fly!

How strange, I just did this flight today, the 13.10 departure from BHD to LHR and they were selling food and drinks.

Why strange? My video was from almost a year ago.

Can I fly with Italian ID?
@PlanetPatrick3 жыл бұрын
Hi Nathalia, yes of course! I’m assuming you mean an Italian passport. Each airline will have its own requirements and rules about whether a passport is required or a driving license is allowed, for example. If you’re not using a passport, you should check with your airline.

@@PlanetPatrick thank you! I lost my passport, will be ready in 3 weeks only
Thanks! Fair - I added a better mic soon after this video. Have a great day!

Well. The overland route via Scotland has been made unviable. Flying is so much easier and often cheaper.
@PlanetPatrick3 жыл бұрын
Well, Alex. You're not wrong. You can certainly pick up very cheap tickets too. However, it does still make some sense (if not financially) to some people who are car-bound, or who travel with pets, larger families or an older relative who struggles with planes. I don't take the ferry much any more, even if I enjoy it still.

Hi Patrick do I need passport to travel from Belfast to London as I am an Australian citizen thanks
@PlanetPatrick3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jagga, If you're taking a flight from Belfast, you need the minimum identity requirements that the airline has specified (this is on their website). Usually, even on what is classed as a domestic flight, a passport is required. This can be the case EVEN if the legal minimum requirement is a photographic ID, such as a driver's license. In other words, it's up to the airline. I always use a passport. Your identity document is checked at the gate, just before boarding the plane. If you're taking only hand luggage, only your boarding pass is required to proceed through security. However, if you are checking luggage, then your ID will be checked at that point. Regarding non-CTA passports (CTA=UK and Ireland, thus British or Irish passports)... if you have the appropriate visa to be in the UK (or in the EU/Ireland), then there shouldn't be any issue with taking a Belfast to London flight, but I would expect you need to show your passport as your ID. Hope this helps and - as I always say as a caveat - check with the airline for specific circumstances. Patrick
