Fun video! It's nice to see a good Aer Lingus economy review. Aer Lingus economy was my very first experience in an airplane - couldn't have asked for a better experience to ease the nerves of flying. Even the captain's PA announcement at the beginning of our flight helped, informing us that we would encounter some mild turbulence mid-flight but that it would be a rather "speedy" flight that night. The food is actually pretty good (dinner, coffee/tea, and a pre-landing quick bite). It was nothing over-the-top, but satisfying and tasty.

Great report, pleased to hear you enjoyed your journey with Aer Lingus. As for the A330-200 on this route, they come from a time when it was the only A330 model capable of west cost operation and Aer Lingus configured them as such; crew rests, early entertainment systems etc. These days the A330-300 is far more capable and later models delivered to Aer Lingus are regularly on the daily SFO and will be added to LAX daily from next summer. Also, green mood lighting does exist on Aer Lingus but for some reason it's only used at certain times and flights or for "special occasions" like St Patrick's Day.

At that time they were free and unfortunately now you have to pay for them, but it always set the mood for my trip "home!" Other things I loved about flying Aer Lingus was hearing the Irish accents and Gaelic again! Then ultimately, flying through the clouds as we're about to land and seeing the patchwork quilt of green fields spreading out beneath me! God bless, happy flying and love your videos!🤗☘️ PS-San Diegan here too!🏖️⛵

How did you get that footage circling the Aer Lingus A332 on the ramp at LAX? Did Delta surprise you with the Cayenne service?

Haha, I wish! It was just the view from the shuttle bus between terminals. I definitely got lucky to get a nice view of the aircraft I flew in on!

“Physics” and “SANspotter” in the same sentence?! That has literally never happened before. 😂

Reason they use the A330-200 is that it has more range than the -300. I really wish aer lingus got their a350s. IAG sent their orders to BA and Iberia. Now that US airlines are flying 787 into dublin, Aer Lingus needs to compete. Overall good review.

You do know that if you pass the little bar downstairs you can walk upstairs and enjoy your typical amenities like cafes, a snack bar and a WH Smith, right?

The pretzels are great. I get a big bag of those from my local Tesco.
