Fo sho one of the best backpack I owned. I use this Aer Travel Pack 3 Small in rotation with Aer Tech Pack 3. The built quality is top notch and the load lifter on the Aer Travel Pack 3 small is the great feature, making carrying 8 kg loads easier. The thick AF and comfy shoulder pads on both Aer TP 3 small and Aer Tech Pack 3 are my favourite features.

Totally agree! There hasn’t been an Art bag I’ve worn that did not wow me with comfort.

I’m currently using this backpack daily as an EDC as well as travel bag for about a year now and I must say the size, design & features are almost perfect as a 1-bag-for-all backpack. The only con that I have been experiencing even till today is that the weight is really heavy. The backpack itself weighs almost 2kg empty and the back cushion is nice but does little help, sadly. If only Aer could innovate the harness system like the Airspeed back panel from Osprey, it would be a perfect backpack. Just two cents from my own user experience :)

Definitely agree that this one is heavy, but it’s quite comfy. I think it’s pretty good trade off, but that extra weight really adds up once you move from EDC into Travel.

Just ordered the Aer travel pack 3 Ultra with the hip belt, can't wait to try it out!

Oh nice! I haven’t had a chance to see the new Ultra bags from Aer but I’m definitely intrigued!
@gcruishank96633 ай бұрын
@@ECsEDC yeah that material is supposed to be light and very strong, we’ll see.

@@ECsEDC For those interested, this pack in the Ultra is awesome in my opinion. Should last a LONG time. What I really wanted was hip belt pouches, so I ordered the Zpacks belt pouches which they have in a black Ultra material and they look almost exactly like the pack, just a tiny bit darker. There is also a UTube video that shows a fairly simple modification you can make to these pouches that will make them stay somewhat expanded and will work with one-handed operation. Really great add-on for this pack!

I assume that if I were to go on a month long trip or longer, I should go for the regular size and not the small? Whereas if I were to go on say a 2 week trip/edc, the small would be more ideal? I really do like the regular size of this pack, but I'm wondering if the weight difference between the small and regular size is all that substantial when packed out? Not necessarily to the max, but pretty close to it.
@ECsEDC20 күн бұрын
I’d say the Small for either. This is based on being able to do laundry and being practical with packing. If you’re a heavier packer the regular is better but you could surely get by with small. Just depends on your packing style and what you plan to bring.

Hey, thanks for the review. Are the pull tabs just like a label or is that a loop that you can put a carabiner through for example?
@ECsEDC3 ай бұрын
Which ones are you asking about? For example, the tabs on the front pocket zipper line?
@ondrejmusil44083 ай бұрын
Yep, thats the one! Thanks. Sorry for not being clear.
@ericcollins9103 ай бұрын
@@ondrejmusil4408those are not hypalon, they are actual fabric but I’m not sure you’ll get a carabiner through it. Maybe, depending on how small it is.

Do you think the Evergoods Element Drop In would fit in the flat inner pocket ?
@ECsEDC5 ай бұрын
Yup, I think that would be a great place for the EDI!

This type of magnetic clasps are super easy to open (even one-handed) by pushing the 2 parts against each other.
@ECsEDC5 ай бұрын
I must have 10 thumbs. These ones are the only ones I struggle with but I’ll keep that tip in mind!
@houserhythm5 ай бұрын
@@ECsEDC The 2 parts meet at an angle, they are made to slide over/under each other when pushed together. The way you keep trying to open them makes it seem hard, because the top part hooks into the bottom one, in order to not easily come apart by accident, but pushing then against each other slides the hooks out from under the bottom part, thus opening easily. The one disadvantage is that you can't do it when the strap is super tight, you have to loosen it a bit first. I have 2 Bellroy slings with this type of magnetic buckle and I usually undo the buckle on my slings, not just pull them over my head, so I'm pretty used to them, might say I even like them.

Hi Eric in your travel use case, do you lean more towards the Peak Design packing cube or the Evergoods TPC8 or it depends on how many days of travel? I still have the CTB26 for longer travel and will be getting the Goruck Bullet Double Compartment 18L from a friend for shorter travels. Currently I have 1 small Peak Design packing cube and 1 Medium and 1 Small Eagle Creek Isolate Expansion packing cubes.
@ECsEDC5 ай бұрын
For backpacks I tend to gravitate towards the Peak Design products as those fit well in most bags. The EVERGOODS cubes are great but I find that I’m partial to the PD cubes. If you’re using the EVERGOODS bags their cubes work and fit great but I find that the slimmer PD items are generally more functional.
@KelvinHew75 ай бұрын
@@ECsEDC I prefer slimmer compressible packing cubes. For me, the geometry for the TPC8 doesn't cut it for me even though its dimensions are perfect for Evergoods bags.

Great review! Aer TP3Small or CTB26?
@ECsEDC5 ай бұрын
The CTB26 fits my needs better than the Travel Pack does but both are great options with many similarities.
