Aerial Footage Shows Scale of Fires in Australia

Aerial footage released Thursday, January 2, shows the breadth of the wildfires raging across a vast expanse of forest in Victoria, Australia earlier this week.

As an Aussie you're being very silly, Pyrocumoulous clouds could result in some of them, Amber attacks which start spot fires 6kms ahead of the main front and flashovers the near spontaneous ignition of fuel (pretty much when something gets heated to the point it produces flammable gases aka pyrolosis, which is the first stage of combustion) You're subtracting from the real issue here which is climate change by spreading this ignorance.

The koalas home, the eucalyptus trees are strategically made to be naturally flammable so that fires can naturally occur and the vegetation surrounding will burn and than regrow stronger. It is why burning off is necessary as it is the natural process. Our native people.. the aboriginals have done so for thousands of years but we ignore the process and get what was probably deserved. It is a horrible disaster but one that will hopefully allow for different species to thrive and definitely create a greater appreciation among us aussies for our environment. I would just like to say that these things can be taught in just minutes and if you do some research and share the cold hard facts you could just help a movement to gain momentum changing the country for good. None of the trees will have to be replanted, they have evolved to deal with fires, most of our trees need fires to drop their seeds. Within a few months you'll see the trees growing shoots out of their stumps and coming back to life, it's a natural cycle.
